Chapter 17

A/N: Hi, lovelies:) Just a few words before we start. I know some of you want more of Alison and Alex, but please know this story is mostly about Maria, Ben, Anna, and Xander and the story around the war with the Spanish mafia.

Of course, we will have more of Alison and Alex but you should be a little bit patient. For now, bear with the storyline and I hope you like it too.

Mason throw the last punch and knocked out Silva. He stood on top of his opponent's body, panting hard. He wiped the blood from his nose and mouth and spit out some, wincing a bit. His back was aching a lot. Silva was one hell of a strong man. Silva had managed to disarm Mason the moment he had entered Silva's office and the two had begun to fight with their fists.

Mason picked up his gun and tapped Silva's hands and legs. He could hear through his earpiece that they had won and Silva's men were either dead or had fled. He stood up again and glanced around the office that had been smashed from their fight.

He walked toward the bookshelves behind the desk, searching for a file he had seen on the ground when Silva had picked him up and had thrown him at the bookshelves. He found the yellow file under a pile of books and smashed things.

He glanced at the name he had seen on the file and opened it with a frown. A moment later, he heard footsteps and raised his gun only to lower it a second later when he saw Ben and Oliveira walking in.

Oliveira was a middle-aged man with a round belly and bald head, but he was a deadly warrior and the head of the strongest family in Brazil. He walked over to Silva and hit him with the tip of his shoe a bit hard and glared at him disgusted.

"Well done, King." he said with an accent. "I will order my men to take him to our basements. All though I only want him dead, I will let you interrogate him there."

Mason nodded and Oliviera walked out, talking in his earpiece.

"You're fine?" asked Ben as he inspected Mason's bloody face and shirt.

"Bro, you look like shit." said Hunter as he entered the room with Xander behind him. 

"You two are fine?" asked Mason and looked up and down his brothers, searching for any injuries.

"We are fine." answered Xander. "And you?"

"Just a few scratches." answered Mason and walked toward Ben with a hard expression on his face. "You may want to take a look at this."

Ben took the file and opened it warily. "Fuck!" he cursed under his breath and ran a hand through his hair when he saw a picture of Maria staring back at him next to a paper full of her information.

She was a bit younger in the image and her hair was shorter. She had a smile on her face and was looking at the camera confidently. Her eyes were beaming with happiness and Ben knew it must have been from the past four years that she had fled from her cousin.

"We should know why they have a file about her." said Mason and Ben nodded and glared at the body of Silva that was taken out of the room. His free hand was balled into a tight fist and he was trembling from anger. He didn't like this at all.

Xander had become alert as well. Whatever was about Maria in that mess, would certainly engage Anna as well.

Mason put a hand on Ben's shoulder and caught his attention. "Let's go and interrogate that son of a bitch." he said. "We will gather information and will go back. It's been three days. It's not good to stay away from home this long."

"You can torture me all you want, King." croaked Silva who was tied to a chair. His face was covered by his blood like the other parts of his body. One of his eyes was closed and the other was so swollen that he could hardly open it. He had endured hours of pure torture and he had not cracked, like a true mafia leader. "I won't tell you anything."
