Xander dropped his hand for the hundredth time, not daring to knock on Anna's door. No one had made him nervous in his life this much. He took a deep breath and raised his hand and this time knocked before he can change his mind.
"She is not in her room."
Bella's voice startled him and he jumped and turned to her who had a smirk on her face and a few toys in her hands.
"She went to the library." said Bella and walked to her children's room. "And she is allowed to be trained. I told Mason as well. Just don't tire her and make sure she eats well. She is still weak."
"Bella!" called Xander and Bella turned to him with raised eyebrows. He waited for a moment before he talked. "Thank you."
Bella smiled warmly. "Your welcome, Xander." she said kindly. "Just take care of her. It's not every day that you find someone like her."
"She has not forgiven me yet." said Xander quietly. "I kinda feel bad to be around her. She deserves more than me."
"Oh, so you won't mind if I introduce her to someone, will you?" asked Bella and looked at her nails nonchalantly. "He is a great man, educating to become a doctor. Tall, kind, handsome ..."
"Hey!" scowled Xander with a warning tone.
"So, shut up, dear." grinned Bella. "Try to gain her trust. Her heart is pure gold. She still cares about you and I'm sure if you act civil she will forgive you."
She said and then opened the door of the children's room. But stopped when he called her.
"Bella!" said Xander and Bella looked at him who gulped nervously. "I never apologized to you for what I did. I know how much you must have been scared. You have every right to hat..."
"Okay, stop where you are." said Bella loudly and stopped him. "I don't hate you, Xander. You are my family, my brother. I should say that I was disappointed. But know I'm proud that you are trying to make everything right. I'm happy that you have finally found your half. I will help you in any way. You can always count on me."
"Thank you." said Xander speechless.
Bella smiled kindly. "Now go after her." she said and pointed to the other side of the corridor with her head. "I'm sure she is waiting for you. All day her eyes were on the clock."
Xander nodded and turned on his heels and walked toward the library with determined steps. Bella's words had given him hope. Once he reached the library's double doors, he entered slowly and looked around.
He found Anna curled up on one of the bean bags near the window already looking at him. She was in a white blouse, jeans, and fluffy white socks. Her long dark hair had fallen around her in waves. Xander's breath was taken away immediately.
"Hello." said Xander nervously. "I'm sorry for disturbing you."
"Hi!" answered Anna timidly and stood up, clutching the book tightly to her chest. "I'm fine. Thank you."
Xander scratched the back of his head as the two just stood there for a minute. "Um," he choked finally. "Bella said it's fine if you want to be trained. So .... um .... if you like, we can start your training today."
"That's great." said Anna and Xander smiled when he saw a large smile light up her face and her eyes shone. "I'm going to get ready."
"Okay," said Xander as they walked to the door together. He quickly opened the door and held it for her. "I will wait for you in the gym. Take as much as time you want. I will wait."
