"Why am I tagging along?" Alex asked with a gloomy face
She was currently in the car with her mother on their way to the place never ever wished to go at the end of the holiday
"You're going tomorrow honey, can't I spend the remaining time with my daughter?" Jennifer playfully pouted
"Ugh" Alex folded her hands and turned her back to her mother
A few weeks ago she would've been excited to see him but that wasn't the case anymore for a reason she tried to get out of her head
Flashback
It was a beautiful day for Alex as she sat beside her window enjoying the view of nature with her laptop in front of her
She had just took a picture of the sky and was editing it to post on Instagram
She loved nature, the stars, the sunset, the clouds, a beautiful sight she never got fed up of
She looked at the picture, satisfied she posted it on her feed and smiled in content
Soon notifications started popping up, she slid on the screen to see who liked her picture
Slidding through the notifications on IG, a particular one caught her eye
Fii_samba, Zac_Molly, Molly03 follow JeanMo
Seeing that her friends followed this person she did not know of, she decided to go to her account and check her out
She froze at what she saw, she felt like a bucket of water had poured down on her
There he was all over JeanMo's IG account

She tapped on a recent photo, it seemed to be of him with the girl's arm rapped around his neck smiling ear to ear, he had winked sticking his tongue out with a peace sign
She breathed in and out
She saw another of just her, she was pretty no doubt about that
Another she saw of her and Tyler's sister in law
His family knows her
And another a photo collage, one side the girl stuck her tongue out while Tyler was in the background with his usual straight face and the other side the girl pouting and Tyler with a small smile on his face
A genuine smile
She kept on scrolling
There was a video, she took no time to tap it. It was a video of Tyler walking on a pavement to what seemed like a home
He walked while her voice played in the background
"T ....Tylerrr" she said with a slang "Tyler loooooove"
Tyler looked back and chuckled as he put his hand on the camera and the video ended
Another picture of her with her leg up and her arm around Fiona's neck while Fiona laughed
She scrolled and scrolled through her pictures and saw another of Tyler, her guts told her not to look at that one but she opened it anyway
It was of the girl kissing his cheek with him making a disgusted funny face
She felt water fall on the screen, she touched her face that's when she noticed she had been crying
End of flashback
She felt betrayed and deceived, Tyler had confessed his feelings to her when he fully knew he had somebody in his life already
What she didn't understand was why the girls never mentioned her before
How could she be so dumb, she actually liked him back. To think she was planning on telling him during the holiday, she felt very very dumb
"Honey did something happen?" Jennifer asked
She shook her head
Jennifer sighed as she entered the Nowels compound
"Have you found a place for me yet?"
"I thought you wanted to stay with your friends?"
"No mom I told you on time you haven't found a place yet?"
"I'm a busy woman honey, that was the least of my problems besides Tyler has a room ready for you" Jennifer said as she killed the engine
"Right" Alex rolled her eyes
"Now be a good girl" Jennifer said as they both got out the car
"Jennyyyy" Sharon called as she descended down the steps
"Hey Shaz" she smiled
They gave each other a hug and pulled away after a second, Sharon went ahead and hugged Alex and pulled away
"I thought you weren't going to show up"
"Well I wasn't going to ditch you" Jennifer chuckled as they both walked to the front door
"Why are you still here Alex" Sharon asked as they walked in the house
Alex tried her best not to look around, she felt if she did she'd see a certain boy she didn't want to see anytime soon
"Running away from orientation like last time" she responded
Sharon chuckled as she shook her head
"Well your friends are gone ready, I'm afraid you'll be stuck with us for the rest of the day"
Alex silently let out a breath she didn't know when the words Tyler's mother said came out of her mouth
At least she was safe for now, but thanks to her mother she was going to meet her room tomorrow
She wished her mother had found an apartment for when she asked, she had no choice but to stay with Tyler
Alex had tried to find room in her friend's apartment but they had fully declined since the other apartments consisted of it one bedroom
It didn't make sense to share a room when Tyler had a vacant one
She sighed
Why were odds against her all of the sudden
