Asa had begun to get used to waking up with Gally in her arms every morning. The feeling of his warm body and sounds of his soft snores having become part a necessity to her sleep. But when she woke up the next morning, having tossed in her bed all night, she was exhausted, physically and emotionally. She hadn't dreamt or at least she could remember if she had. The antagonizing frustration of who Thomas was going unanswered and she hadn't had an explanation for Gally. She hoped by the time she'd gotten dressed and went to breakfast though, that he'd rationalized his accusations.
When she exited the Homestead, she forced a smile onto her lips, not wanting to be questioned by any nosey boys. She searched for Gally at the tables, spotting him sat quietly besides the rowdy Builders. He'd looked as exhausted as she had, his body slouched over and his eyes surrounded by dark circles.
"You and the boyfriend in a fight?" Asa continued walking, not having to turn to see who it was, knowing the obnoxious voice well enough. "Just gonna ignore me then, princess?" He questioned, following her up to the food table.
"Don't you remember what happened last time you pissed me off?" Asa retorted, grabbing a bowl and flashing a quick smile to Fry whod stared with concerned brows.
"Forgive and forget, right?" Curtis questioned, taking a bowl of his own, stepping daringly close to the girl.
"Nah." Asa shook her head, her attention focused on Fry as he filled the bowls. "Have you made the cookies yet?"
"Been busy, maybe tomorrow." Fry answered, careful putting the contents into her bowl. He wasn't so careful with Curtis, slapping the sloshy food which splashed up at the boy.
"What the hell, man?" Curtis whined out, wiping what had got on him off his shirt.
"Oops." Fry said insincerely, the girl letting out a short giggle before turning to find a seat.
Thomas had been sat with Minho and Newt, not bothering to dig into his breakfast. Asa hesitantly made her way over, careful of how she looked at the boy. She wanted things to be okay with Gally, not give him any more reason to be upset—even if she thought he was in the wrong.
Asa set her food down beside Minho, sliding onto the bench, "morning, boys." She greeted, Minho shoving her away as she leaned close to his side. "You're so nice to me." Asa mumbled sarcastically, stabbing her fork into the food.
"Hey, is everything okay with you and Gally?" Thomas asked, Asa's brows raised, swollowing the bit of food she'd taken.
"Mhm, why?"
"Last night after the fire, it looked like you were in a pretty heated fight." Thomas said, Asa wanted to smack him for saying that with Minho beside them.
"A fight? What happened? Are you—"
"Minho, I'm fine, it was nothing, just a misunderstanding." Asa tried to calm him, not wanting her brother to rush over to Gally with another rageful fist. Minho didn't approve of her response, his fist balling as he stared directly to Gally's table, his eyes cold.
