Transferring the prisoners wasn't something they had done often, in fact, Asa hadn't recalled a time where they'd moved them unless it was to hide them. Which is what worried her most when she woke up in a train car. Yet, a part of her had a hopeful reasoning.

That her friends were still out there, trying to rescue them. It wasn't very likely though.

Her head rested on the shoulder of the person beside her, hands chained, restricting her from running. Not that she had the energy to do it if she wanted to. She had lost track of how long she'd been in the hands of Wicked. Every torturous day blending into one.

"Hey, Asa?" She heard Curtis' hushed voice, her head lifting slowly from his shoulder.

"Yeah?"

"Any idea to where we're going?" He asked, his eyes softening as he looked at the broken girl he'd spent the last few months with. She shook her head slowly, "they don't have any other compounds or places you know of from working with them?"

"All the compounds were raided by the Right Arm.. and I doubt they've had the time to- oh no, there is somewhere." Her breath shook as she realized where the train may lead.

"What is it? Is it bad?"

"The Last City," her head shook, "Wicked has been reinstating it for years, preparing for something like this.. so they wouldn't have to use the Maze's." Asa told him, her eyes beginning to trail along the rows of seating, looking for familiar faces.

It was too dark though, she couldn't see anything but exhausted teens. Curtis fell silent, unable to voice any more concerns as he noticed the unsettlement on her face.

That's when they heard it, feet stomping across the roof of the train car. Her heart filled with him as they neared, watching as they ran over the vents. They were gonna be okay.

"There's your hope." Curtis pointed out, noticing the shift in her eyes.

It wasn't long before the tracks beneath them began to screech, the train car coming to an abrupt halt. She tugged at the chains, trying to find a way out. She knew it was useless, her body far too weak to even stand on her own. The brace around her knee hadn't helped either.

"Minho!" She heard from the outside, her eyes darting around, he was here. "Asa!"

"I'm here!" She cried out, fearing they couldn't hear her.

"We're in here! Thomas!" Curtis yelled out, his voice much louder than hers.

"They're in here! Guys!" She heard Thomas' voice so clearly then, the light in her eyes shining momentarily. She was going to be okay.

Just like that though, it was gone, "wait.. Minho?!" She yelled out, but no response from her brother.

The screams of a saw came from outside, clouding Asa's cries. Save Minho.
