"Where you going? You can't go in there

"Where you going? You can't go in there." I was stopped as I tried to walk into the Homestead, another Glader grabbing me by my forearm. Who the hell does he think— "there's a meeting going on." He told me, dropping his hand quickly and brushing in onto his pants.

"I just need to go to my room for a second." I said, pushing the door but he stepped in front of me. "I'll be quick, won't even look into the hall." I smiled sincerely, trying to duck beneath his arm. Can't I just get a fucking tampon?

"You can wait." He retorted, locking his arms over his chest to come off tough. I stood in the same position, mocking his hostile manner.

"What's your name?" I asked, tilting my head as I stared to him. He was about the same height as I was, his build muscular, not like Gally was though, he was trying to hard. His dark hair was shaggy, cutting off below his ears, his dark green eyes intimidating at the end of his narrow bridged nose.

"Curtis." He answered dryly and I stepped forward, letting my arms fall from my chest.

"Well, Curtis, I know you don't know much about women— so, I'll give you a pass this time. But if you don't let me through, the discomfort from the blood quite literally gushing out of me, is going to make very ticked off. So, please, let me through." I was not about to give him a lesson of menstruation, hopefully, he got the message that I wasn't going to take his shit.

"You're a Med-jack, I'm sure you can find a way to stop bleeding." He shrugged, not taking notice of my growing irritation.

Rolling my eyes, I shoved him away, quickly making my way into the Homestead. I ignored him as he chased me inside, too afraid to stop me with force. As he said, each Keeper had been sat inside at a long table, Alby positioned at the end.

"There's got to be a reason they'd send a—" Newt stopped speaking as he saw me run into the room. "Asa, you're not supposed to be in here." I know.

"I've just got to get something from my room, really quick, I swear—"

"She pushed me, she wanted in here and made up some dumb excuse on how she was bleeding." Curtis exclaimed, I'm going to hit him. The Keepers stared at me in disbelief, Minho the only one who seemed to question the boys lie.

"Is that true?" Alby asked.

"That I'm bleeding, yes. That I'm lying about it, no." I answered, gradually growing more irritated by the second. "I seriously just need to go to my room and then the bathroom for like, five minutes."

"Uh—" they all paused looking to eachother and Alby sighed, "go on." He waved me off and I quickly ran up the stairs, ignoring Curtis' complaints.

As I'd said, I took very little time to finish before making my way back through the homestead. Assuming they'd let me walk back through, I gave a small smile to the group of boys.
