Grace's POV

Spring break was approaching, which for me meant the semester was over. My classes were only 7 week classes, and they were the last classes that I needed to take before I could apply to my dream program in LA. I also got my scheduled date for the NCLEX, which was August 17th. It was currently March 20th, which means I had time to study, but I definitely should buckle down.

Demi and I have been great. We haven't been able to see each other too much because of our busy schedules, but we've managed to sleep together every single night, make time for random meet ups for food, lots of FaceTimes and lots of silly texts. She only had two days left in NYC. She was going to go to LA for a bit, and then we both are going to Texas so I can meet her family. From Texas, Demi is going back to LA for work and I'm going back home to Michigan for a while and hopefully Demi can make it to Michigan to meet my family. We don't have much of a game plan after that, but as each day passes I really believe that we can make it work. Demi was going on James Corden tomorrow which I'm incredibly excited for her. Luckily it's a live taping, since I can't go with her, I'm just going to watch from her apartment and wait for her to get back. I was pulled out of my thoughts when I heard my phone buzz.

"Dems: I miss you so much. I can't wait to be home with you later. I'll be back home earlier around 5 or 6. I'll see you then, baby. PS - I have a few little gifts for you for finishing off your semester."

I smiled at the text and laughed to myself because I just got home from her house, but nonetheless, I missed her too.

"Graz: I miss you more. Have a good day at work. You're too sweet with the presents, Dems. I adore you. BTW - I'm going to take a nap, in case I don't respond."

Since my semester is over, I've been taking this time to just do absolutely nothing, which involved a lot of sleeping. I shut my blinds and got snuggled up in my bed, closing my eyes and letting myself drift off to sleep.

I was awoken by banging on my apartment door, which made me wake up in a panic. I quickly sat up, my heart racing a million miles a minute. I made my way out of my bedroom and to the door to see if I could see through the peep hole.

Sophia.

I took a step back, my heart dropping realizing the girl I once loved with everything in me was standing outside of my door. I opened the door to be greeted by a face that didn't make my stomach swarm with butterflies anymore.

"So, Gracie Blu, you're just going to replace me that fucking fast? With Demi Lovato?" Grace slurred out. My stomach turned at her words knowing she was drunk, something I was far too familiar with.

"Jesus, Sophia. Are you drunk?"

She took a step towards me, trying to grab onto my arm, but I didn't let her.

"No, you're not going to touch me." I snapped.

"Come on, Gracie. You know I'm the only one for you. I'm the only one who can love you." She said as I could smell the alcohol on her breath. "No one else can love you like I do."

"Sophia, I need you to leave. I'm not doing this with you."

"No, you don't get to just fucking move on. You're mine, and I'm yours. It was always supposed to be like that."

I was growing angrier by the second, not even believing that this girl could think this way.

"Sophia, I swear to god, get out of my apartment."

I tried to guide her out, but she only retaliated back and grabbed onto my wrist.

"Gracie, it's me and you. It's me and you, baby. I love you so much." She said, holding onto my wrist still. "Demi Lovato isn't shit except a used up old druggie."
