Demi's POV

I woke up feeling like I was laying in a cloud. I was laying in the softest sheets, wrapped in the softest blanket, with my head on the comfiest, biggest, fluffiest pillow I've ever felt. I was spooning Grace, my arm around her and our legs intertwined. Her bare skin against mine was the safest feeling. It was still pretty dark in her room, which made me wonder the time. We didn't get to bed until so late, so I can't imagine I woke up this early. I reached over to my phone to check the time.

Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck.

I had at least a million missed calls from every person on my teams, Max, and Marissa. It was 11am and I let myself be a complete fucking idiot and forgot about the full day of work, meetings, and recordings I had to do. My heart began to race as I flew up, quickly gathering my things. I immediately left without even thinking to wake Grace, paranoid that my career was on the line. I called Max and he picked up on the first ring.

"Fuck, Max, I'm so sorry. Please come pick me up."

"I'm already out front. I've been here for a while. Let's go."

I passed by Penelope in the living room as I made my way out.

"Now I feel like you. We had so much fun last night, and now I'm paying for it. I slept through at least two meetings regarding my tour and the release date for my new album." I quickly scrambled out. "I have to go, P. I didn't wake Grace and she will probably be so mad at me, but she was sleeping so peacefully. I'll see you later."

I ran out the door before she even got the chance to respond. I made my way to Max's car and quickly hopped in the back. Marissa was also there, ready with all the things that I needed. I leaned in for a tight hug which she gladly accepted.

"I don't know what the fuck I would do without you, Mar. Thank you for all of this." I spoke.

"You're welcome! But the real reason I came along, who the fuck is this girl?!" Marissa asked, hitting my arm. "How could you not tell me? Social media is going insane trying to speculate who she is and what the relationship is between you two."

I rolled my eyes at the comment, feeling annoyed that the world gets so pressed over everything that I do. I began to smile thinking of the sweet girl that I now get to call my girlfriend, though.

"My girlfriend." I smiled at Marissa.

"It's official already?!"

"Mar, this girl is something else. We ran into each other at a coffee shop and I fell in love immediately. We clicked that night and it's only gotten better everyday. I really, really, really like her. She just made it official last night."

Marissa squealed and clapped her hands. "I can't wait to meet her. I'm so happy for you."

We arrived at the studio where I knew I had to face my management, but hopefully they aren't too pissed off at me. I made my way to the bathroom to change, and checked my phone to update Grace since I left so suddenly. To my surprise, I had no notifications from her so she's probably still knocked out in that cozy bed of hers. I sent her a text.

"Dems: Hi, Graz. I'm so incredibly sorry I had to leave so quickly this morning. I had such a good time with you yesterday I completely forgot about the fact that I'm leading the life of a celebrity and have such busy days ahead of me. I slept through a few meetings regarding tour and my release date of the album. I miss you and I really can't wait to see you. I hope you're sleeping so well and let me know when you wake up." I sent the text and changed my clothes quickly. I pulled my phone back out.

"Dems: I miss my girlfriend."

I smiled at the fact that she was my girlfriend and I made my way out to face everyone.
