Grace's POV

I was saying my goodbyes to Demi's family, hugging everyone twice because I really will miss them and am excited to see them again, but fuck, get me home to my family.

"I'll see you guys so soon. I promise!" I said, making my way to the door. "Thank you so much for letting me stay. I genuinely had the best time."

"We love that you're apart of the family, sweetie." Dianne said. I smiled at that, feeling happy to be included.

"I'll FaceTime you later, Madison!" I said, walking out of the door.

Demi was driving me to the airport, and then heading to LA for a week to do work stuff. She told me about how she had it planned where she was coming with me now, but she's been away from work for too long. I'm nervous about being away from her, but I think being with my family will be extremely helpful.

Demi reached over and put her hand in mine.

"Fuck, why am I so nervous to say goodbye." She said, her voice cracking.

"Baby, please don't cry. You know I can't handle it." I said quietly. "Why are you nervous?"

"I'm just so used to having you these past few months. A week is the longest we've gone."

"I know, I'm not looking forward to it. But I truly think it's going to go by so fast. I'm only a call or text away, you know that. And if you truly need me, I'll be on the next flight."

She smiled and squeezed my hand, not saying anything in response. We let the music play, sitting in comfortable silence.

We arrived at the airport, and Demi couldn't get out of the car to say a proper goodbye to me because of the possibility of paparazzi. I immediately leaned over and grabbed her face, capturing her lips in mine. I let my tongue slide in her mouth, resulting in a tiny moan from her.

"I love you so fucking much." I whispered, kissing her harder. "I pray this week goes by in the blink of an eye."

"I love you so much more, baby. I cannot wait to be by your side again."

I kept kissing her, and wrapped my arms around her for a tight hug.

"Have the safest flight, and please let me know when you get home. I hope you have the best time reuniting with everyone, and I know how much you miss them. Tell them I said hi."

"I will, baby. Thank you for driving me. Have a safe flight to LA, as well."

I opened the door and stood up, turning to look back at my girlfriend who had tears streaming down her face.

"Baby-" I started but she cut me off.

"It's okay. I'm okay, I promise. I'm just anxious without you, but I'll see you soon. I love you so much."

I looked at her with my heart hurting, wanting to stay and comfort her but I had to leave. It's the hardest thing having to walk away.

"I have to go, Dems. I'm so sorry. I'll call you when I'm through security?"

"It's okay. Just call me when you're home. I love you so fucking much." She said, sniffling and wiping her tears.

I told her how much I loved her and shut the door, making my way inside the airport. I had on an oversized hoodie and sunglasses, not wanting to chance being recognized by anybody.

I got through security pretty quickly, and made my way to the gate. I sat down at the bar in front of my gate, having a drink and some food before my flight takes off. I ordered a mimosa, and pulled my phone out.
