"Lou, we can't do this. I can't leave him." Harry sighed as he sat on the bed while Louis was packing his bag.

"Baby, it's only for two days and Maria was freaking out in joy when you asked her to take Charlie for the time." Louis said softly.

Zayn had talked to Harry after the incident two weeks ago where Louis had had his panic attack and had suggested to drive away for the weekend. Harry had immediately agreed thinking it would be good for Louis to escape the everyday's life for a bit and spend some time with his best friend. However he hadn't quite understood Zayn correctly, it only had dawned him that he had meant all of them when Liam and Niall were gushing to Harry about what a great time they all would have. After that Harry had refused because he didn't want to leave Charlie alone for two days. He had thought what terrible parents they would be to leave their three month old baby alone, but Maria had found out and after a lot of convincing and reassuring that Charlie would be fine he had agreed eventually.

Now that they were actually about to go he had doubts.

"But it is irresponsible, Louis! You should go without me and have fun. I stay here with Charlie." Harry said determined.

"Fine. Then I won't go either." Louis threw the shirt he was just about to put into the bag on the bed.

"No, Lou. You need this. Just...please go. You deserve the time-out." Harry argued and picked up the shirt again to fold it.

"No chance. I won't leave you alone now. Either both of us go, or none of us." Louis snatched the shirt out of his hand and threw it on the floor carelessly and to support his statement he took his bag and turned it around so all of the clothes were falling onto the ground. Harry just looked at him unamused.

"Hello boys, I'm gonna take Charlie for a wa- is everything alright?" Maria appeared in the doorway and looked at the floor where Louis' stuff was scattered around with wide eyes.

"Yes, everything is fine. Change of plans, Maria. You don't have to take Charlie for the weekend, I'm staying here. You are still welcomed to spend time with us while the boys are away." Harry turned his head to her and smiled.

"No, we're not. At least not me. When you're not going then I'm not going either." Louis stated and crossed his arms.

"May I ask why you're not going?" Maria asked confused.

By now she was a part of their family. She knew about Louis' issues- well, not about everything but that he had problems with his relationship with Charlie- and she was a great help. Sometimes they even spent the days together. She was closer to Harry because Louis was still himself so he didn't really open up and was his distant self around other people than the boys, but Maria took it with ease and he was warming up to her slowly. She was used to Louis' special personality and his mood changes which she never took personally. On the contrary it made her even more happy when he was nice to her, for example when he had come home from work after a successful day he had brought Harry flowers and he had also brought a bouquet for Maria as a thank you for always being there and taking care of their son.

After Louis' panic attack they started slow with bringing him and Charlie together again and by now he was at the point where he was before he took care of him for the first time without feeling uneasy. The incident was still haunting him, but after three therapy sessions where they talked about his fears and -in Louis' opinion- his failure he felt a lot better.
