Yeseul sat on her side of the bed in silence as she watched Jaemin pace around the room trying to think of a way to get his grandad to stop being mad at him and see things rationally.

"Can you please stop pacing around, it's giving me anxiety" she said and he sighed, approaching her slowly before sitting down beside her

"I meant what I said" he said after a long pause between the two and she turned to meet his eyes

"I'm going to marry you some day" he said and she closed her eyes, the smile soon falling off his face as he saw her expression change

"Don't make empty promises, it's a bad habit" she said, standing up to leave to a room without him but he held her wrist, turned her around to face him

"I really meant it" he said just above a whisper

"You haven't even asked me to be your girlfriend yet...I don't understand how you expect me to believe that" she said, shaking his grip off her wrist before leaving the hotel room. Jaemin sat on his bed as he thought about why he had indeed never asked her out, was it because of what the boys said? It's selfish of him to make her suffer after making her love him, but what he was already doing seemed quite selfish, having her around for his benefit.

"I'm not just someone you can have whenever you want. You don't just go from friends that casually fuck to marriage whenever it suits you" she said on her way out leaving Jaemin sighing as he laid back on his bed. He frustratedly gripped his hair, asking himself why it was so hard to do anything right by her.

He had it all wrong, all his life he gave love, through money, but she wanted more than that. She was done being showed by empty affirmations of love and promises that were bound by a monetary value, when was she to experience true love? Love that blooms out of affection, care and trust. She didn't want to be loved the way Jaemin loved her, by showering her with all the greatest goods in the world, she wanted real love but did he even know what that was?

"Something's seriously wrong with me" Jaemin whispered, walking out to the living room seeing haechan sitting on his couch

"You guys fighting?" He asked and jaemin nodded

"Its like we're going forward and back every time. We're going good and then suddenly everything's wrong because i said something stupid" Jaemin said sitting down beside him

"Trust me bro if I could understand women I would definitely tell you what to do right now" Haechan said with a chuckle making Jaemin smiled a small smile

"I should go after her right?" He asked and haechan pursed his lips, nodding his head slowly

"Let me borrow your bike" Jaemin said taking his keys before making his way to the door

"Alright then, please don't finish the food by the time i come back" Jaemin groaned as he slipped on his jacket and shoes

"Love you too bro" haechan said, helping himself to a can of beer from the mini fridge

Yeseul sighed as she reached the club she once worked at, smiling a tad bit at the memories she had with her coworkers. She texted Jeyi that she was outside waiting for her, needing to talk but she was yet to view the message. Yeseul leaned against the wall reminiscing where she met Jeno under the streetlights, as if every vivid memory had entered her mind before her life got caught up in the whirlwind that was Na Jaemin.

"So this is where you've been hiding out huh?" A familiar voice said, chucking the finished cigarette onto the ground, twisting the bottom of his foot on it as he looked at Yeseul through his hair. She tried to avoid eye contact as best as she could, hoping Jeyi would come out any time soon. There were cars passing and it was broad light, surely he wouldn't do anything, she thought.

"How many times do i have to tell you to look at me when i talk to you huh?" The boy asked, grabbing her chin harshly as he forced her shaking eyes onto his

"Leave me alone Jin" she muttered, giving him a harsh shove, trying to get him away from her as quickly as possible

"Now now, that's no way to treat an old friend right?" He chuckled, pulling her back onto the wall earning a few scratches on her back as he trapped her body between his two arms

"Since your lazy ass just left the house without cleaning it, we had to throw away some of your stuff...don't worry, we kept the lingerie" he chuckled as he whispered into her ear

"We tried to return it to your new apartment but no one was home, maybe I'll come back another day"

"You guys are fucking disgusting" she mumbled, tears welling in her eyes as she watched him smirk at her with a sinister expression

"You're not any better, you'll always just be some stripper..dancer whatever the fuck you are. Remember that" he said.

Before he could grab her collar the harsh screech of wheels roared as Jaemin rode the bike onto the pavement, dangerously close to the boy, scaring him enough to make him fall to the ground away from Yeseul

"What the fuck asshole?!" The boy shouted to Jaemin

"If i see you touch her ever again I will fucking end you"

"Get on" Jaemin said, holding out a hand to grab hers, helping her onto the bike quickly.

"Hold on tight" said, wrapping her hands around his torso before revving up the engine again, speeding back to his hotel.

"Thank you" she whispered through a shaky breath as her grip on his waist only tightened. Not another word was said between the two as Jaemin sped to get her somewhere she can feel safer.
