Breaking in

"My fingers are going to be shrivelled up like raisins" she chuckled in between their heated make out session as the water had started to slowly turn colder

"Let's get you into some warm sheets" he said, draining the bathtub before reaching towards the towels. They both soon dried off and she had gotten changed into yet again, his favourite cat T-Shirt as he wore a lazy pair of baggy grey sweatpants to bed.

He went out to the rooms of the hotel to make sure everything was turned off before grabbing two glasses of water, heading towards the bedroom.

"Ready for bed?" Jaemin asked as he saw her enter the covers, slipping on a bracelet that used to be in Jeno's hoodie pocket

"You're buddhist?" Jaemin asked and she sighed

"To be honest i don't know what i am...I'm trying to practice being more...mindful...i guess" she said with a small smile and he nodded, placing the two cups down on each side of the bed before turning off the lights. His ceiling speakers had turned on and he played a slow and soft melody for the both of them

"You fall asleep with music on?" She asked and he hummed in response

"Helps my heart rest a tiny bit more than its usual pace" he said, lying down comfortably and she inched closer towards him, soon enough, as expected by him, she was half on top of him

"How does it feel?" She asked And he thought for a few seconds on how to response to the question

"It makes me nervous. Like I'm about to walk on stage and give a speech in front of the president...or i have to sing the national anthem for the whole country...or i have a huge exam starting in a few seconds...i feel like my heart's gonna explode like nearly every second of the day" he said and she slowly placed her fingers over his chest where his heartbeat was strongest

"In a few weeks there's gonna be an ugly scar there" Jaemin sighed and she looked up at him

"They're pushing the surgery?" She asked and he hummed

"They don't have any other choice...and if that doesn't work out then...i only have so much time left" he said and she laid her head back down onto his chest, hovering her lips over his heart before planting soft kisses on his skin.

"Am I being selfish...by making you stay with me at a time like this?" Jaemin asked, his hand rubbing up and down her arm to comfort her

"No....i chose to stay" she said and he looked down at her with a smile yet nothing could be seen in the dark.

"Go sleep" Jaemin whispered with his deep voice as he felt his tiredness taking over. Yeseul had tightened her arms around his torso subconsciously as she tried drifting off to sleep. She couldn't help but think she won't get this chance again, that maybe tonight Youngmi would call him again and he would leave her. Maybe she would be waking up in these cold sheets by herself, having to hear an apology from him again.

Jaemin had quickly found her tightening grip almost uncomfortable before he began stroking her arm, letting her loosen up a bit.

"I'm not going anywhere" he whispered, knowing exactly what was running through her mind at this hour. He pulled her up to level their bodies at the same height before wrapping his muscular arms around her.

"I'm not going anywhere baby, I'm not letting you go" he whispered, kissing soft kisses onto her shoulders while his lips lets promises and affirmations escape into her ears as she drifted off to sleep in his embrace.

The sound of the water running from the bathroom was the first thing she had heard when she woke up from her slumber, turning to the slightly opened bathroom door where the light was coming from.

"Jaemin?" She mumbled, sitting up and rubbing her tired eyes but he must've not heard her. She laid back down and closed her eyes, but the sun rays shining through the closed curtains weren't helping her at all. She stood up and opened the curtains, being caught like a deer with headlights as she looked at the rooftop view all over Seoul

Her body moved faster than her mind as she stepped out onto the balcony, stretching her arms as she took a deep breath in.

"Hey" Jaemin whispered, stepping out behind her, wrapping his arms around her as he enjoyed the breathtaking view. It was spring and the cherry blossoms were beginning to bloom.

"Hey" she whispered, turning around to face him, a smile on both of their faces, joining their lips into a kiss. Her back leaned back on the balcony railing as he deepened the kiss even further, moving his small and sensual kisses to her jaw and then her neck.

"I have classes today" Jaemin said into her ear and she groaned

"Can't you skip them?" She asked with a grumble and he chuckled

"Yes...do you want me to?" He asked genuinely with a smile and her jaw dropped, not expecting him to prioritise her

"Umm...no, go get your education. College is expensive" she said and he smiled, kissing her cheek softly

"I ordered some pancakes for breakfast, make sure you eat. I left the spare keycard by your nightstand" he said and she chuckled walking over to the bed to grab her phone from the nightstand, Jaemin following suit.

"Shit" she mumbled as she saw 23 missed calls from Jisung. Jeyi and Jungwoo over the last 30 minutes

"Everything okay?" He asked, furrowing his brows and she shot him a glance before answering the phone and putting it on speaker as she fixed the bed sheets

"Noona!" Jisung's voice vibrated through the phone

"Is everything okay why-"

"Our apartment got broken into"

"What?!" Jaemin and Yeseul's voice picked up in concern

"Are you hurt?" She asked

"No i stayed in Jeyi's house last night so I wasn't home. I went in to get ready for school and the door was like so damaged" Jisung said reporting the events

"You guys are safe yeah?" Jaemin asked

"Yeah nothing happened to us, we called the police this morning and they said that they didn't take anything from the rooms but they messed everything up, like breaking tables and the TV" Jisung said and Yeseul sighed

"At least i paid for insurance with the rent" she said

"Here's the thing...the cops think thats since it was broken into but nothing was taken, it might have been someone expecting us to be home...they had weapons so they apparently were trying to hurt us...not steal"

"What the fuck?" Jaemin asked

"Jisung listen to me, stay at Jeyi's house for the next few days alright?" Jaemin instructed through the phone

"You can stay here" Jaemin said to and worried Yeseul, interlocking her fingers with his as he talked to Jisung

"Be careful when you're going out late and go collect your stuff from the house while the police are still there, don't go there alone" Jaemin instructed and Jisung agreed. The call soon ended and he kneeled in front of Yeseul, caressing her cheek

"You okay?" He asked and she took a shaky breath

"We could've all gotten hurt" she whispered, knowing that the group were just at the house a few hours before this had happened

"Yes but look, we didn't get hurt okay? Let's focus on what did happen. Stay with me until the police clear out the area okay?" He asked and she nodded slowly

"Everyone's okay, no one got hurt" Jaemin whispered, kissing the top of her head as he stood up, pulling them both up for a hug and she dug his head into a shoulder.
