"Y/N"

Diluc gently tapped my shoulder as I was still fast asleep.

"Y/N?"

My eyes slowly opened.
"Hm..?"

He smiled, realizing that I had woken up, and moved my hair out of my face.
"I need to go out for a little while. I will be back soon, all right?"

I nodded and yawned.
"Okay. See you later."

---
Diluc's POV
As usual, I left the house to go and find people to feed on.
Quite quickly, I found what I was looking for - but the scent of blood was already there.

When I went towards it, I noticed my brother feeding on them.

"Kaeya?"

"Oh," He cleared his throat and glanced at me for a second. "Hello, brother."

"What are you doing here? You never feed on the Fatui."

Kaeya wiped his chin and stood up, leaving the dead skirmisher to bleed out.
"Yes, I... wanted to adapt to a better lifestyle. Feeding on civilians I found was just not fun anymore."

"Is that so?"
I folded my arms and saw how many bodies were behind him - six.
It was not a bad thing, seeming as they were bad people.

"How are your injuries from the other day holding up?"

"They've... healed. Why do you ask?"

Kaeya sighed.
"Can I not be concerned about my brother?"

I raised my eyebrows.
"No need to be concerned, I'm fine."

He stared at me for a few seconds, before breaking eye contact.
"Then... how is Y/N?"

I glared at him.
I was still annoyed at him because of what he did to her.
"She is fine...?"

"Good. May you two come to the tavern this evening? I have something to discuss with her."
Kaeya looked like he simply just wanted to have a genuine conversation, nothing more.
I learnt not to leave her alone with him, so I couldn't find a problem with it.

Though... I could not make a decision for Y/N.
"I will ask her later. Don't expect us to show up."

---

Once I had finished talking with Kaeya, and had fed on the Fatui that I had found, I went back home.
Of course, Y/N was still sleeping.

I climbed into bed next to her and shut my eyes... though falling back asleep wasn't actually my intention.

"Good morning..." She mumbled and held my arm.

"Morning, Y/N."
I smiled to myself and held her in my owm arms - I was unfamiliar with holding anyone like this, but it felt right. Especially because I no longer had to keep my feelings a secret.

"Did you feed?"
Her morning voice made my heart warm. So did the fact that she remembered something like that, even when half asleep.

"Yes, I did. Thank you for remembering. I do have a question, though."

She looked up at me.
"What is it?"

"This morning, I spotted Kaeya when I was out. He asked us if we could go to the tavern this evening, because he wants to speak with you about something. Would you like to?"

She kept quiet for a moment.
I understood, though - Kaeya severely hurt her, and seeing him again would be slightly awkward.

"Yes, that's fine. We sort of... talked things out while we were trying to find that hideout place. He isn't so bad, I suppose."

"Ah, I didn't realize. Please don't hesitate to tell me if you change your mind."

She nodded and sat up.

"Are you... okay? You seem a little distressed."
Y/N looked at me and smiled.

"Yeah, I'm okay. Are you?"

"I'm good, even better now that I am here with you."
She grinned and lay back down beside me.

I was so lucky to have her by my side. It was so comforting to be able to tell myself that I am in love with someone, and that someone loves me back.

"Did Kaeya say anything about what he wants to talk about?"
Y/N put her hand on my chest. I felt heat rise to my cheeks, but I had to try and ignore it.

"U-Uh... no, only that he wants us to meet with him later this evening. It will be fine."

"It's not that... sometimes I get worried that he didn't actually get rid of Xiong, and he'll come back someday..."

"When I first killed somebody a long time ago, I thought that I would have to live with that guilt forever... but then I realized that they were a terrible person, and my actions could have potentially saved people. It'll be the same for you. You have nothing to worry about, it's okay."

"Are you sure...?"

Just by that, I realized she was actually frightened. I couldn't exactly blame her, though.
"Positive. Xiong is dead. He won't come back."

---
My POV

There was not a lot to do in the day, except keeping each other company.
We decided to leave to go to the tavern at 6pm - and that time arrived quickly.

"Alright, have you got everything?"

I nodded.

"Okay. Let's go."

...

It was quite cold out.
I put my hands in my pockets, so that the freezing air would not reach them.

"Do you not feel the cold?"
I asked, noticing how Diluc seemed so unbothered by it.

"I do," He started, turning to face me. "But, theorerically, I'm dead, so it doesn't affect me that much."

"Oh, I was going to ask... do you think Kaeya knows about... you know, us?"

Diluc broke eye contact.
"I don't know. If he asks, you can tell him if you're comfortable with it."

"What about you?"

"He's bound to find out at some point either way. I have no reason to hide it from him - but again, it's up to you."

---

When we got to the tavern, Kaeya was already there - along with a lot of other people. It was busy - 'can't hear myself think' busy.

"Hey, Y/N."
He walked towards me and gave Diluc a quick nod, before taking my wrist and going to the 2nd level.

"You gonna bite me again?" I sarcastically said, taking a seat.

"About that... I wanted to apologize."

"...Apologize?"
I didn't know what he was going to say, but I did not expect that..

"Yes. After what happened to Xiong, I realized it is not right to feed on innocent people. And you almost became one of my victims. There is no excuse for that."

"I guess... it's fine. It healed, and you didn't attempt it again, so..."

Kaeya nodded and sighed in relief.

"I have a question."
I already knew what it was going to be, seeming as his desire to ask me something popped up so randomly.

"Are you... dating my brother?"
