"Good morning."

Diluc's voice made me jump after I left the room tiredly. I had stayed up longer than I should've because I felt like it was a bad idea to give him the note.

"Morning..."

His smirk put me off entirely. Did he know something I didn't? Did he find the note I gave him amusing?

"What is it? Why are you smirking at me?" I tried to sound calm, but my heart was beating really fast.

"Oh, it's just that..."
I stared at him anxiously, trying to anticipate what he was going to say.

"I knew you were going to give me that note..." His gaze softened, looking at me for some sort of answer.
My eyes widened, a little embarrassed after stressing over it.

"You... what?"

He laughed softly.
"You were acting nervous yesterday when we were walking home. Of course I knew something was up, and you kept your hands in your pockets."

Then everything made sense.
"Right... why didn't you tell me?"

Diluc folded his arms.
"We can talk about it over a meal. Good Hunter tonight, my treat?"

I blinked in confusion. He was acting quite different. More... talkative, in a way.
"I haven't done anything for you, and it will make me feel bad if I let you pay for everything..."

"Ah, but it will definitely mean a lot to me if you come along."

Now he was just mocking me by quoting things that was in the note.
"F-Fine... but... have you been drinking again? You're acting different."

"No, I haven't drank alcohol at all since the other night. I felt like I was being dull, because of how genuinely happy you looked in the winery yesterday."

"You haven't been dull. In fact, I've never met somebody so full of life." I whispered, not fully intending for Diluc to hear it.
Either way, he did, and a grateful yet flattered smile grew on his face.

"You're too kind... anyway, what would you like to do for the morning? If you'd like, I can take you back to Dawn Winery and ask Moco and Hillie to do your hair?" He sarcastically suggested, causing me to shake my head quickly.

"N-No thanks, they're quite energetic and they seem like the type to end up fighting over me..." I nervously replied.

"I could do your hair then, if you want me to."
This caught me completely off guard, and it felt like my voice worked for me.

"Okay, um, alright...!"

I let my hair down and turned around. In reality, I was pretty nervous.
Except the maids at the winery, not many people had actually touched my hair.

Diluc walked towards me and moved all of my hair on to my back, before starting to style it.
Though he was a person who literally had to feed on people to survive, he was so gentle and tried not to hurt me at all.

He noticed my breathing had gotten heavier.
"Nervous?"

I gulped and nodded slightly.

"Oh, don't worry. I am nearly finished."

"Thanks, it looks really nice..!" I looked at the style he had done in my hair after he finished. "Why don't you do it in your own hair?"

He chuckled under his breath.
"I'm not the best at styling my own hair. It's slightly hard to manage. Besides, if I did, people would see it as... childish and unprofessional. For me, that is. Yours looks... cute, to be quite honest."
