"Is there anything else you'd like to know?" Diluc asked, sitting down next to me. "Just because I'm in the mood to talk." He said jokingly.
"Hm..."
It could have been the only opportunity to ask anything for a while, so I had to think of something.
"How did you become a vampire?""How? Well... I can't exactly recall what happened, but it was something along the lines of drinking another vampire's blood. Not a pleasant process, I'll admit."
"Oh, I didn't think it happened that way. I thought a venomous bite would do it."
Diluc laughed for a moment.
"Yes, that's quite a common misconception. Though not many people know vampires exist." He started. "Ah, and I have an off topic question for you.""What is it?"
"You've been to the tavern quite a few times now, do you think you have caught on to how I make drinks?" He asked, with a small smile on his face.
"Eh... probably not. It looks difficult."
"It's not, really. It only takes practice. I can show you, if you'd like?"
I nodded at his request, and he got a few ingredients along with some cups."Okay. Hmm... could you try and make a... love poem?"
I stared at Diluc in confusion.
"A what now?""A love poem. It's tea with milk and caramel."
"You could've said that, I can probably make it!" I said, gathering the three ingredients.
I poured the tea, milk, and a little bit of caramel into a mix, and stirred it.
"That looks good for the first time you've made anything. Mine was... questionable, I suppose."
I laughed at his comment and lost my grip on to the cup as I was trying to pour it. Diluc quickly put his hands on mine to steady it, but moved away after I got a better hold.
"Sorry, you... almost spilled it." He whispered in embarrassment.
"That was my fault, don't worry about it." I replied, focusing on pouring the love poem in to a small sized teacup. "It looks quite good, I suppose?" I glanced at it.
"It really does, you did well. I should show you how to make more one day. Now, watch how I'd make it."
Diluc got the tea, milk, and caramel, poured them into a cup, mixed it, and put it into another small sized teacup. This took about 25 seconds.
"Wh-- huh?" I stood up and looked over the table, noticing his teacup had the same drink that I made in it. "How did you do that? It took me like 5 minutes to get the caramel out..!"
He smirked.
"I've been making drinks at the tavern for a really long time, again, it's just practice. Lots of people order that drink on a daily basis.""Still! You did that so quickly..?!"
Diluc nodded, leaning back and wiping his forehead. Unfortunately, he still felt rough after all of that wine.
"Are you okay?"
"Yes, though still not feeling 100%. My fault for drinking so much." He replied, sounding ashamed.
"I mean... you did it for a reason. You were stressed, don't beat yourself up over it."
-Diluc's POV-
After hearing what Y/N had said, I turned to face her, but I got lost in her eyes instantly. She genuinely looked like she cared - and I hadn't seen that from anyone else for ages."You really care?" I mumbled, not daring to look away.
Y/N sighed, before a smile became visible on her face.
"You saved my life, how could I not? I owe you big time for it."
"You know what?" I started, completely changing the subject by accident. "Perhaps I should take you to Dawn Winery this afternoon. I think you would like it there?"
She laughed, before nodding in agreement.
"I would love to, especially if it makes you feel better."
