"So you'll come?" Leah exclaimed.

"Yes, Leah, I said that three times," I looked at her as I grabbed my Latin book.

"Sorry," she raised her hands in defence, "I just never expected you to come!"

"I don't really want to, but I'm feeling a lot better," I chuckled.

"Well, what's got you all happy then?" She queried.

"Just another phone call, happier this time," I replied with a smile.

"That's good," she played with the hem of her shirt, "So..."

"I'm not going to dress like a slut," I gave her a short-lived glare.

"But-"

"No! I don't want to wear something skimpy just for attention," I insisted.

"It'd-"

"No."

"But-"

"Leah!"

"Okay, okay, fine. Be boring and alt, I'll dress like a slut and you can be jealous when I have boys wrapped around my pinky," she said as if I was missing out on something.

"Jealous of what? STDs?"

She scoffed.

I giggled at my joke, shutting my locker.

"You've got Latin then?" She linked her arm with mine.

"Yeah, you?" I asked.

"Science," she complained.

"Oh, fun!" I smiled.

She looked at me blankly.

"What?" I wondered.

"Did you just say the word fun to the word science?" She stopped walking, making me stop as well.

"Yeah, why not?" I felt as if I had done something wrong.

"Science," she repeated.

"What type of science?" I asked.

"There's more than one type?" She feared.

"Well yeah! There are Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Astronomy, Mathematics, Social science, Ecology, Botany, Genetics, Geology, Earth science, Computer Science, Zoology, Paleontology, Archaeology, Natural Sciences, Meteorology, Biochemistry, Economics, Microbiology, Sociology, Anthropology, Entomology, Statistics, Systems Science, Atmospheric Sciences-"

"That's enough," she put her finger over my lips.

She removed her finger and we continued walking.

"Oh! There's also Geography, Oceanography, Materials Science, Aeronautical Engineering, Agricultural Science-"

"And you say you're not a nerd," she muttered.

"Hey! I am not a nerd," I countered.

She stopped walking again, and looked at me blankly, "You just listed like a thousand types of science, I didn't even know there was more than one kind of science."

"Oh come on, everyone knows there's more than one kind of science. That's common sense," I argued.

"Amara."

"What?"

"Why?" She questioned.

"Why what? There are at least fifty kinds of science," I replied.
