Where Rory's twin sister, Victoria "Tory" Gilmore meets Dean Forester - a boy who her grandparents clearly don't approve of but she loves anyway.

"I'm here to ask for Tory's hand in marriage"
It was Friday night dinner and everyone but Tory was at Friday night dinner at her grandparents. Dean had come as a surprise, knowing that the whole Gilmore family would all be there for dinner, so he wouldn't have to plan separately for all of them. The only one he'd have to go to would be her father, Chris. He knew Tory was working late at the hospital so she wasn't going to interrupt. He was dressed in a nice suit, knowing how much the Gilmore grandparents were on appearance, and as soon as Lorelei saw him all dressed up, she had a feeling she knew what was happening.
Everyone stared at him, before Rory jumped up and rushed to hug him.
"That's amazing! You two have been together forever" Rory said, with a smile, before looking to her mother and grandparents.
Lorelei was still in disbelief that her daughter would consider getting married at this age but with Tory's graduation coming up, and considering Dean basically proposed to her when they were graduating high school, it didn't really seem like that much of a stress, despite her heart thumping.
"What are you doing after college?" Richard asked, staring at the boy.
"I'm interviewing now at a couple of places. I have a job lined up if nothing else goes through at a firm with one of my fraternity brothers. My priority is, however, wherever Tory will be for medical school" Dean stated.
"Where will you two live?" Richard asked.
"For now, it depends on where Tory gets into medical school. If she gets into Harvard or Yale, we always talked about living together in a house in Stars Hollow. If she goes anywhere else, we'll get an apartment together near the school and then hopefully make our way back to Stars Hollow. I will always follow her" Dean stated, impressing everyone. Clearly this had all been thought out.
"Are you planning on having a family?" Emily said.
"I told Tory that I will want as many kids as she can and wants to have" Dean said. "I love Tory. I've given her a promise ring before in high school, and I won't lie - we've had our ups and downs, growing pains, but there's never been anyone besides her. She's the only one I've ever thought about marrying and starting a family with. Tory is the most perfect woman I've ever met, sorry ladies, and I can't imagine spending my life without her"
There was silence from Lorelei, Richard and Emily, but Lorelei was the first to crack.
"You've always been there for Tory, more than myself most of the time. I know how much you love her and I already think of you as family" Lorelei said, smiling a bit sadly as she thought of her daughter having a family of her own.
"You're a good man, Dean. We've known you for a while, and you've always been there for Tory" Emily said, looking to Richard. She was thinking about how she didn't even know about Lorelei's engagements, and now the man Tory has been dating for years has asked them for their permission, including them from the start.
