"This is officially weird" I said to Dean, as we ate dinner at Luke's together. Jess and Rory were talking at the counter, and I felt awkward for being in the same restaurant as them with Dean. Dean nodded, but kept eating his burger.
"I know, but let's not focus on them. So what are you doing tomorrow for Thanksgiving?" Dean asked and I sighed, thinking of everything I had to do.
"We've got thanksgiving #1 with the Kims, then #2 with Sookie and Jackson, #3 with Luke and Jess, and #4 with my grandparents. I'm going to be the size of a whale" I said, and Dean chuckled lightly, although it seemed there was something on his mind.
"Well, would you be able to fit a fifth in? My family really wants you to come. Everyone's significant other is coming, and my parents have been talking about you so much that my whole family wants to meet you" Dean asked, holding my hand and gazing into my eyes. I shifted under his gaze, but gave a forced smile.
"Of course, I'd love to go... when is it?" I asked, beginning to process how I'd plan my escape routes from the different locations to be able to get myself to this dinner.
"5pm. Thank you so much" Dean said, leaning over and kissing me. I smiled, as his lips seemed to make my stomach calm down from nerves at least for a minute. How in the world was I going to pull this off?
"Mom, what am I going to do? You're going to have to roll me over to Grandma's" I asked, the next day as Rory and I got ready for our multiple Thanksgiving meals.
"Well, you can skip Luke's and we'll just get you before going to the grandparents" Mom said, and I sighed.
"Are you sure he's not going to get mad?" I asked, as fixed my makeup. I didn't wear much, but I still wanted to look presentable for Dean's family. The nerves inside of my stomach were firing like fireworks.
"I'm positive. Dean's a very lucky dude to steal you away from us" Mom teased, and I smiled before leaving with Rory and Mom into town to gather gifts for our Thanksgiving hosts.
"Do I get an extra gift for the Forrester's? They are my boyfriend's family..." I asked Mom, as we were looking in Doosey's for flowers and chocolates.
"I think the flowers are perfect" Mom said, as she looked at me smiling proudly. I smiled back, grabbing what I thought was the prettiest bunch of flowers and headed to check out with Rory.
By the time, I got to Dean's, we had finished the Kims' and Sookie's. I didn't eat much at either, knowing that I'd have to eat at Dean's and my grandparents'. I pressed out my dress in front of Dean's front door, before knocking a bit nervously.
"Tory! Oh you look darling. Happy Thanksgiving! Dean, your girlfriend's here!" Mrs. Forrester said, as Dean came rushing over with a large smile. I smiled widely, before handing Mrs. Forrester the bouquet of flowers.
"Here, I got these for you. Thank you so much for inviting me" I said, as Mrs. Forrester took the flowers and Dean took my hand and led me into the living room.
"Oh that's so sweet of you. Thank you for coming" Mrs. Forrester said, before going to put the flowers in a vase.
"Hi, you look gorgeous" Dean said, kissing me lightly. I smiled, and kissed him again quickly before looking at him.
"You look great as well. Happy Thanksgiving" I said, before Dean started introducing me to all of his relatives.
Dean's POV
It wasn't long after Tory arrived we all sat down for dinner. I had introduced to almost everybody, and everyone seemed to like her. My cousin Stephanie liked her so much, she let her hold her baby Trish. Tory looked like a natural holding Trish, and I couldn't have thought about what Tory would look like holding our baby one day.
Tory gave me a confused look, after she caught me staring at her playing with Trish. I just shook my head, smiling, before Tory gave Trish back to Steph and we all sat down for dinner.
"So, let's go around and say what we are thankful for! I'll start: I am thankful that all of you came here today to celebrate" Mr. Forrester said, before turning to his right for the next person to state their thanks.
By the time it got to me, I was nervous.
"I am thankful for everyone to have come here to Stars Hollow this year, as well as be in a relationship with this beautiful woman next to me for the past year and a half. I am thankful that all of you get to meet Tory, and see how incredible she is. I love you, Tory, and I am so thankful that I met someone like you" I said, kissing her quickly as she smiled, blushing a bit.
"I am thankful to have been invited by this wonderful, handsome man that I love so much. I am thankful that I met him just before I switched schools, and I am beyond grateful that Dean loves me as much as I do him" She said, and I kissed her again, as everyone around us clapped and cooed at us. Clara whined, telling us to stop, but my aunt just shielded her eyes.
Dinner was wonderful after that, holding hands throughout dinner and the sideways glances... I wanted her to just stay. Tory was like another member of the family already.
"Oh Tory, you need to come to our next reunion, right Dean?" Stephanie said, hugging Tory tightly goodbye when she had to leave to go to her grandparent's dinner. Tory had a huge smile on her face.
"If Dean can still stand being with me by then" Tory joked, as I just wrapped my arms around her.
"Have fun" I said, kissing her goodbye. Tory smiled, and waved goodbye to the rest of my family as she hopped into her Mom's car.
"She's amazing. You must bring her to the reunion" My grandpa said, patting me on the back. I smiled, and nodded.
"I couldn't agree with you more, Grandpa" I replied, staring at the Gilmore Jeep leaving town.
