From the moment that James' shirt was off, things got messy...

More blood started oozing out per second. Regulus was rushing to get a large bandage out of the first aid kit.

James was starting to feel dizzy and the pain was starting to kick in as the adrenaline was beginning to wear off.

"Stay still," Regus mumbled as he got a cloth and poured rubbing alcohol onto it. "It'll only sting a lot,"

Rubbing alcohol wasn't the best solution with the open wound but the cabin didn't have running water, they had no other way of disinfecting the wound. Rubbing alcohol would actually slow the healing time but hopefully they could reach a med-witch in time who could heal him up.

"Wait," James leaned away from Regulus's hand which was moving closer to the oozing wound.

"I'll do it on three," Regulus warned.

"Five," The other bargained.

"Fine,"

James held his breath in preparation.

"One... Two..." Regulus counted.

Regulus slowly inched his hand with the cloth closer as James flinched away.

Before even reaching the count of three, Regulus touched the cloth to his wound making James shriek in pain.

"You said you'd wait till the count of five!" James squeezed his eyes shut as he gasped from the stinging sensation.

Regulus rolled his eyes at the others reaction, "You'd have known the exact moment it was coming, it would have only caused you more pain,"

James let out a strangled cry for help. Blood was still oozing but Regulus wiped it away before immediately slapping the bandage on James' side.

"There, now quit your whining,"

"That bloody hurt!" James cried out.

"Does that affect me?" Regulus asked.

"Do you not care when I'm in pain?" James asked with a hurt expression, this time unrelated to his injury.

"Not really no, as long as you're alive,"

"Aw, so you do care!'' James gushed.

"Would you please die quicker?"

"Oh come on, what would you do without me? Like think of a world where we never met, what would that look like?"

"It would look lovely, it would be peaceful,"

"Peaceful but boring," James grinned through his pain.

"Boring can be nice,"

"In what world? When we get out of this I'm taking you out to have some real fun," James promised.

"Ah, and what would we do, what's your definition of fun?" The Slytherin quizzed.

"We could go to an amusement park?" James offered.

"I've actually never been," Regulus said, looking at the other in the eyes

James was gawking at the Slytherin, "It's a date, I'll show you fun," He said before the moment was ruined by the sound of the stairs creaking.

"Regulus, James!" A voice yelled from the bottom of the stairs.

"Remus?" Regulus whispered to himself.

"Mooney!" James exclaimed.

The footsteps got louder as Remus climbed the stairs.

Regulus opened the door seeing as how James couldn't stand on his own to do it.
