Demetria felt the small blue sapphire in her apron pocket. She closed her hand around it and looked down, deciding that she would give it to Reverend Jeremy the moment she met him. Soon they were deducing the man, finding out who he was.
"It's been a long time, Reverend Jeremy." Ciel said, standing in front of the man. The name struck Demetria as familiar. Sebastian had told her to give the gem to this man. But his eyes were so much like Sebastian's. She bit her lip and looked down, deciding to confront him when they could have a moment alone.
"You know this man?!" Bard asked surprised.
"Yes, he's the reverend of a church in London, giving advice and such. He's somewhat of a celebrity." Ciel said, looking at the reverend.
"Check my briefcase." Jeremy said. Bard opened the case an inside was an owl. Mey-Rin gasped. "That's the owl that Mr. Sebastian told me to set free!" She said. Jeremy nodded. "I gave it a sedative, so it's asleep. Earl, would you be so kind to check the note on its leg?"
Ciel nodded and walked over, and opened up the container, pulling out the note. A look of frustration passed over his face for the faintest second.
"Well? What does it say?" Earl Grey asked.
"Apparently Sebastian foresaw his murder." Ciel said, standing up, the note crumpled up in his hand
"Well he still doesn't have an allbi! He could still be the killer!" Mr. Woodley said, staring at Jeremy. "Check my coat pocket." Jeremy said, looking slightly smug.
Finny reached into his coat pocket and pulled out a ticket. "It's a ticket for... May... Maybel Theater... for Sleeping Beauty."
"That's definitely the play in Maybe Theater right now." Irene said, looking surprised.
There was some talk about whether or not it was believable, but soon everyone agreed on the same note that it was a very believable alibi. When Jeremy was sitting down everyone went back to talking about the murders. "May I examine the bodies?" Jeremy asked.
"Of course, they're all down in the wine cellar." Ciel said, standing up.m.
"Stop! If I must use my nose, the bodies must be in different rooms. And not in the wine cellar, the scent of wine is especially strong there."
"Of course. Bard, Mey-Rin, Finny." All three of the servants nodded before going to move the bodies. "Now, is there some spare clothes I can change into?" Jeremy asked.
Ciel looked slightly surprised before nodding. "I believe my dead butler's clothes should fit you."
Demetria's eyes widened slightly. She had forgotten that she had left some of her underwear and her corset on the bed when she had quickly gotten dressed. She blushed slightly and realized how uncomfortable she was without her corset on. She bit her lip slightly and watched as they walked out of the room.
"Oh, Demetria, I need you to go check the pantry." Ciel said, and then walked out the door with Jeremy.
Demetria nodded slightly and left the room, walking downstairs to check the pantry, unknowing that Earl Grey was following right behind her. She opened up the pantry door and walked into the room. Earl Grey walked in behind her and closed the door, locking it, leaving only the light from the window streaming in, and lighting up the room. Demetria turned around in surprise when the door opened. She looked shocked, but relaxed slightly when she saw it was only Earl Grey.
Earl Grey smiled slightly and walked forward. "You are a very beautiful woman, you know. Big hips, a nice chest..." He trailed off and leaned forward kissing Demetria. The kiss was forceful and unpleasant for Demetria, but Earl Grey seemed to be enjoying it. He pulled away and winked slightly before walking out of the room, unlocking the door and leaving the door to the pantry open.
The mate mark on her wrist started to burn intensely after she realized that Earl Grey had just kissed her. Demetria whimpered softly and quickly closed the pantry door locking it. She whimpered softly and slid to the floor, her back pressed tight to the door. She ripped off her glove and held her wrist tightly, the mate mark glowing and burning intensely. The burn was almost as bad as the night it was given to her. She gripped her wrist tightly and squeezed her eyes shut. When the pain finally faded, Demetria stood up slowly and picked up her glove off the floor. She slid the glove back on and saw that there was nothing in the pantry. She bit her lip and walked back out in the kitchen.
"Well, is there anything in the pantry Demetria?" Bard asked, walking into the room. Demetria sighed softly and shook her head, nervously tugging up her glove. Bard sighed softly and looked over at the crates in the corner.
"Well, it seems that the only thing we have excess of would be the flour and beans... and what little we have on the table" Bard said, lighting up another cigarette while he sat down to think.
Mey-Rin and Finny walked into the room and sat down next to Bard, while Demetria remained standing. Bard explained the problem to them and they all groaned softly. Jeremy then walked into the room causing Mey-Rin to stand up suddenly, prepared to tell him that he had to wait until dinner. "Don't worry, I'm not here to take anything. Just to see what tonight's dinner plans are."
"Well... we don't really having anything. You see, Mr. Sebastian prepared enough for three days, this is embarrassing, but we have a guest who consumes a large amount of food." Mey-Rin said, looking down, embarrassed.
"The only thing we have an excess of is beans and flour, we could make bean soup, but that'd only embarrass the young master." Bard said, standing up.
"Well, do you have a herb garden?" Jeremy asked.
"Yes! Mr. Sebastian planted lots of them!" Finny said, joining the rest of them in standing up. "Good. Now, if you have soybeans you can make soybean steak, however, if cooked right, it'll taste just like a porterhouse." Jeremy said.
Bard picked up a big barrel of soybeans and set it on the table. "Right here."
"Good! That'll make about 30 servings."
"30 servings?!" The servants asked, in surprise. Jeremy nodded and divided out jobs to each of the servants, leaving Demetria alone with Jeremy.
She sighed softly and bit her lip, walking over to Jeremy. She tapped his arm softly and he looked over at her, and smiled softly. Demetria pulled out the small blue sapphire and held it in her hand. She gestured for him to hold out his hand and her looked slightly confused and held out his hand. Letting out a small sigh she pointed at the other hand. Jeremy just seemed to become even more confused. He held up the other hand and Demetria took the end of the glove in her fingers. "Demetria, what are you doing?" Jeremy asked, extremely confused by her actions, he went to move his hand away, but she pulled off his glove before he could, revealing Sebastian's contract mark. Demetria's mouth fell agape slightly as she stared at it.
"Demetria, I can explain." He said softly. Demetria clenched her jaw shut in anger that he hadn't let her know that he was alive. She hit him as hard as she could in chest, causing him to stumble back in surprise. She threw the sapphire at him and ran out the door, the tears already starting to stream down her face.
