Ch. 86: Staying a While

Elsewhere, Luz and Boscha returned to the manor.

"There, we have everything we need." Boscha said.

"And without any long lasting injuries. Thankfully you know some healing magic." Luz said as they walked through the front door.

"Healing magic comes in handy in cause a potion goes bad, and you need to patch yourself up... or if you have the name Luz." Boscha said to Luz, "Come on, let's get to work."

Boscha and Luz went back to working on the weapon. With all of the ingredient they got from the forest, they should have the boomerang done by dinner. Boscha kept using her third eye to look at Luz.

"So, when are you going back to the Owl House?" Boscha asked.

"I... I don't know. Eda said she needed a few days alone." Luz said.

"Well, you're always welcome here." Boscha said, "And I love spending time with you."

"I know and I appreciate it but I worry if it's the right move to leave Eda alone during such an emotional state. Sure, she has King and Hooty to keep her company but..." Luz said with worry.

"Wait, the house demon I can get staying since that's its body but why the "king" of demons?" Boscha asked.

"I'm pretty sure it's because he's probably seen Eda like this at least once, so he knows how to help." Luz said.

"I guess that makes sense but it's still unfair." Boscha said, "Still, I don't mind sharing a bed with you. I love cuddling with you."

Luz chuckled at this, Boscha sounded a lot like King just now. Not that it matters either way, Luz was a cuddler.

"Boscha! Luz! It's dinner time!" Elizabeth said.

"Wait, dinner time?" Luz asked, "How long have we been working?"

Boscha took out her scroll and looked at the time.

"Oh shit, we've been working for 5 hours." Boscha said in surprise.

"Come on, let's go." Boscha said.

Boscha took Luz's hand and brought her downstairs. Luz sat next to Boscha, totally not because Boscha refused to let go of her hand. Not that Luz minded as she held firmly held her hand back.

"So, I take it you'll be staying the next couple days?" Mavic said.

Luz slowly nodded.

"I had a feeling, I tried calling Eda but with her not answering, I had a feeling something is wrong." Mavic said.

"It's fine if you don't want to tell us, we just want you to know, we understand." Elizabeth said.

"Thank you. It's nice to know Eda has good friends that care about her. Wild witch or not." Luz said with a nod.

"I've learned to not get on her bad side." Elizabeth said, "I used to bully her believe it or not... the chair to the head really made me think differently."

"Wait, Eda hit you in the head with a chair?" Luz asked in surprise and shock.

"Yeah, I was in a coma for a week." Elizabeth said, "We got along pretty well after that."

"She came to visit her everyday. Mostly because she was suspended because of it but still." Mavic said.

"Promise me you'll never do that to me." Boscha whispered to Luz.

"I could never do that, before or after we started dating." Luz said to her, "Mostly because I can't lift a chair."

"Can hold every magical enchanted weapon I make but can't life 15 pounds of steel!?" Boscha said.
