The duo in question had just left the Triplet household with Gus behind them, heading back to the Knee to fix their girlfriend and friend but we're unaware of what waited for them.
"Hey guys, we're-" Luz looked at the area, "THERE WAS A TREE RIGHT HERE WHEN WE LEFT, RIGHT!?"
"Yes, there was. And now she is gone." Amity said, strangely calm as they landed. "Our girlfriend...is gone."
"Willow, did you see what happened?!" Luz asked as Gus picked up the witch in a bottle, struggling a bit since she still weighted the same.
"A... a slitherbeast bit down on her and pulled her out of the ground." Willow said.
Luz quickly attached Willow's bottle to her belt and got on her staff.
"Come on, we're going after them!"
"Do you even know-" Gus asked before they turned to him.
"We've been to the cave before! Now come on!" Amity and Luz shouted before grabbing him and pulling him with them!
They flew there and landed outside the cave.
"In there?" Willow asked, gulping a bit.
"Yep." Luz and Amity said.
'Just as cold and frightening as last time.' They thought but they didn't care.
This Slitherbeast had taken their girlfriend and they were going to rescue her!
"Let's go." Luz said, pulling out the Monado.
"Gus, give us cover." Amity said, pulling out her abomination sword.
"Gladly." Gus quickly said before drawing a spell circle, making them all invisible.
They walked in, the sound of Boscha saying "Ow" got louder as they got closer. This made Luz and Amity angrier as the best was hurting their girlfriend! They both know that Slitherbeast loved to chew on trees and they were horrified by the thought of that best BITING Boscha in half!
"Hey, bitch! I'm not a chew toy!" Boscha said, "Let me go!"
The Slitherbeast didn't listen as he bit into Boscha again, making her jolt in pain from the teeth digging into her bark skin.
'I'm lucky Willow made my tree body tougher than most.' Boscha thought with a groan.
She felt another bite, this time feeling a crack form in her body.
"Oh, no. No, no, no, no!" Boscha said.
The beast was close to breaking her in half before a fire blast hit its back!
"ROOOOAAAAH!" It screamed.
"KEEP YOUR TEETH OFF OUR GIRLFRIEND!" Amity shouted as the trio began visible, clad in their armor. "That body is for OUR teeth only!"
"After this, you'll be lucky if I even become your toothbrush!" Boscha said, "I hate teeth!"
'This is a weird rescue mission.' Willow and Gus thought as the Slitherbeast dropped Boscha and turned to them, growling.
It charged at them, making Willow really wish she wasn't still in a bottle, her hammer would make a difference in this fight. Amity and Luz acted fast, immediately attacking with a slashing of fire at the beast.
"Y-y-you know, if I could be put on the ground, that would be great!" Willow said, but it landed on deaf ears.
Even Gus didn't listen as the beast charged at them again and they all jumped out of the way!
"Aim for the legs!" Luz shouted.
"Restrain or attack?!" Gus asked.
"Both!" Amity said, switching her sword to abomination mode.
Amity threw her sword, hitting the Slitherbeast in the leg and making Abomination goo to trap him to the ground. Gus moved to the other side and threw his boomerang, scratching the other leg while it began to ice over. Luz ran and jumped, throwing her sword and hitting it in the side. The fire glyph burned the side of it.
"Bullseye!" Luz shouted as she held her hand out, calling back the Monado.
It was pulled out and Luz caught it, holding it backwards by the handle. Her eyes switched to a bright yellow and she swung, delivering a strong beam of light that went towards the Slitherbeast. Even if it's eyes were tiny, a beam this strong blinded the Slitherbeast as light filled the whole cave! Gus, Amity, and Luz were protected by their suits but Willow and Boscha weren't.
"Damn, that's bright!" Boscha said as she and Willow shut their eyes, "I thought trees were meant to enjoy the Light!"
"Most trees don't have eyes!" Willow said.
"Speaking of trees, Gus! Get Boscha!" Luz shouted to him.
"How?!" Gus asked her.
"Think of something!"
The beast regained its vision and slammed the ground X grabbing large pieces of rock and throwing them at the trio.
"Amity, get behind it!" Luz said.
Amity nodded as they dodged the large rocks, summing Ghost to fly behind the Slitherbeast and reclaim her sword.
"Y-y-you know, Luz, you could hand me to Gus and... maybe let me get out of here?" Willow asked.
"Does he know the spell to free you?" Luz asked as the Slitherbeast threw more rocks at her, making her switch to plant mode to create a vine shield.
"I don't know, but its probably better than just hanging from your belt." Willow said.
"Hey, this isn't easy for me either. You're surprisingly heavy!" Luz said as she rushed off, dodging the Slitherbeast biting through the vines.
"I'll remember that!" Willow shouted to her as Gus turned invisible and rushed towards Boscha.
"Okay, I... think I can do this." Gus said.
"That's reassuring." Boscha said.
"Shut up!" Gus shouted at her as he used the ice boomerang to make ice copies of himself.
If he could combine them with illusion magic, maybe he could make them move like him so they could all carry Boscha out of here!
"Okay, so this is going to work, right?"
"It should." Gus said with some confidence. "Cuz if not, you're a Slitherbeast dinner."
"Strike fear into my bark, thanks." Boscha said, "Now get me out of here!"
Gus nodded and trusted his theory as Amity gave them cover, still doing her best to slow down the Slitherbeast.
She pulled her sword out and charged at the slitherbeast.
"Suddenly, I miss the Death Glider, she could've helped us!"
She jumped as the beast turned to her, throwing its arm to knock her away before she lashed at it with an abomination whip! Amity pulled herself up to dodge before hitting the beast in the head! Luz ran behind the beast and jumped up.
"Over here!" Luz shouted ash she fired a wave of ice at the beast to freeze its legs, "It's trapped, but I don't know for how long."
"Then let's get our girlfriend and go!" Amity said.
The group went to Boscha. Gus and his ice clones, which were moving, struggling to pick Boscha up together before Luz and Amity came to his aid.
"Thank Titan! You I need to work out, Gus!" Boscha said to him.
"I'm not used to lifting a tree!" Gus said.
"Or anything!" Boscha shouted at him.
"Stop arguing and pick her up!" Willow shouted to them!
With their combined strength, especially Amity with her abominations, the picked Boscha up and hurried out of the cave. When they were far enough away, they dropped Boscha.
"Damn... Boscha, you're heavy." Amity said.
"just for that, I'm turning you into a hot tub." Boscha said, "Now fix me!"
"Well... that's the thing... only the person that cast the spell can fix you." Luz said, "So... we kind of need to get Willow out of the bottle... and we need a glass smith to do that."
