Ch. 93: Salvaging the Night

Back with the group of heroes, they had returned to Triplet Manor and de-armored while the "ally" in the black cloak landed with them. He quickly began to walk away.

"Wait, who are you?" Boscha asked.

"I can't let you know, because if I reveal myself, then everyone including me is in trouble." He said.

"Why do you say that?" Willow asked.

"Just trust me, it's better if you don't know who I really am but I'll help you anyway I can whenever I can." He said as Luz noticed his palisman was the same one from when Golden Guard tried to kidnap a nest from Hexside.

'That Little Rascal.' She thought with a smile.

"I trust you then." Luz said, "And I know that you're going to do great things."

The cloaked man paused for a moment before nodding to Luz, getting on his staff before flying into the air and teleporting away in a golden flash.

'Be safe.' Luz thought.

Though everyone else didn't know who the cloaked boy was, Luz knew who he was and understood his danger.

'See you later, Hunter.' Luz thought as they entered the manor.

"So, tonight didn't go the way I hoped." Luz said.

"Yeah, we got named the queens of the dance and then a giant, supposedly extinct demon lizard crashed the party." Boscha said with a frown. "We didn't even get a chance to dance."

Luz grabbed Boscha and Amity.

"Well, who says we can't do that now?" Luz asked.

"Without music?" Amity asked.

"Willow, romance mix please." Luz said as she pulled out her scroll and threw it to Willow. "Gus, mood lighting."

"You got it." Willow said as she put in the romance mix.

"Ask and you shall receive." Gus said as he drew a circle and used his illusion magic to set mood

"May I have this dance, my lovelies?" Luz asked.

Boscha and Amity looked around, seeing the romantic setting was just perfect for a dance.

"We'd love to." They said.

"But who gets the first dance?" Amity asked.

"Oh, Amity, bold of you to assume I won't dance with both of you at the same time."

"Isn't that impossible?" Gus asked but Willow elbowed him.

"Let's see where she goes from this." Willow replied.

Luz grabbed both Boscha and Amity's hands, and pulled them close. She placed Amity's hand on her side while putting Boscha's hand on her shoulder while moving her own to the same positions on them.

Boscha and Amity laughed.

"You really are something else." Boscha said.

"Shut up and dance with me." Luz said.

"Gladly." Amity said.

Boscha and Amity moved their remaining hands to hold each other as the trio danced together in triangle. They danced and laughed the night away. Gus and Willow watched with smiled while the latter was silently thinking about his new girlfriend, Skara. Said girlfriend, walked up behind him and covered his eyes.

"You didn't think I would let you leave without a dance, did you?" Skara asked.

Gus smiled under her hands and turned around to her.

"No I did not and I am glad." Gus said as he place his hands around her waist.

"Come on, my little Illusionist, show me what you got." Skara said.

"Gladly." Gus said as he gave Skara a dip, making her giggle in surprise, before raising her up and dancing around the room.

Willow smiled, her friends were happy, and that makes her happy. Maybe someday she'll find that special someone or maybe not, either way, tonight ended on a good note.
