With Dexx:

The Anglerfish demon was sitting in the empty meeting room as he waited for Venno, the Velociraptor demoness having gone to inform Winston Cooper’s cousin about what had happened, and to tell her that she was now the new owner of her aunt’s bakery.

Dexx sighed, his face in his hands.

He had been so angry with the Rooster demon, with what he had been about to do to Venno, that the Anglerfish demon had actually been about to strike him with his sickled staff.

He had seen the sickle glinting when he had swung it down, but luckily Venno had managed to grab the staff before the blade could even come in contact with the Rooster demon’s face, halting Dexx’s angered attempt.

The Anglerfsih demon wasn’t even sure if he should continue being a Bounty Hunter, considering this hunt didn’t go exactly as planned.

Not to mention, he had tried killing the bounty himself.

Victor, the Falcon demon and former Bounty Interrogator, had told Dexx afterwards that Jerry had made it a rule that a dead bounty could only be claimed if the death was an accident, not on purpose.

Most of the time it happened during the chase, from what Venno told Dexx.

The Anglerfish demon wasn’t sure if the rule was still important to follow considering Jerry had retired, but the Velociraptor demoness most likely kept all the rules Jerry had established.

Dexx sighed, the Anglerfish demon turning his attention to the large wall window.

Fiona and Scott had been trusted to keep an eye on the Rooster demon, having made sure to handcuff him to the chair and lock the interrogation room room.

Dexx had been told that the Rooster would be sent to where his mother had been taken away to, so at least the two would be reunited.

Dexx was startled by the sound of someone clearing their throat, so Dexx quickly turned in his seat and sighed when he saw that it was only Victor.

“Sorry about what happened. I guess I’m not ready to be a Bounty Hunter just yet” said Dexx bitterly, the Anglerfish demon turning back around in his seat with his arms crossed, a scowl on his face.

Victor chuckled as he walked over, his cane clicking along the floor before taking a seat beside Dexx.

“Don’t worry, I’ve seen many Bounty Hunters come in, some of them failing their first lone hunt. Even heard from Fiona about that Velociraptor demon who came in and failed his first hunt, Venno had to be the one to catch the bounty because he forgot to choose either a pair of jets or a grapple hook” said the Falcon demon, a small smile on his beak as he remembered what Fiona had told him.

Dexx scoffed, the Anglerfish demon rolling his eyes.

“Yeah, I remember that guy. He had a thing for Venno, but she obviously didn’t like him. Saw him at the dance club we liked a few weeks after we inadvertently set him up with an Imp. They seemed to still be together, so things must have turned around for him” said Dexx, shrugging as he recalled the Velociraptor demon.

Victor frowned and nodded in understanding, the Falcon demon now thinking.

“Well, you obviously have what it takes to be a Bounty Hunter, but not all hunts will go the way you want them to. Sometimes you even have to consider letting them go because you know in your heart that they didn’t deserve having a bounty put on them” explained the Falcon demon.

Dexx could only glance over at him, the Anglerfish demon still frowning.

Taking this as a sign to continue, Victor began talking once more.
