With Dexx:

The Anglerfish demon had made it back to the Bounty Hunter Agency about thirty minutes ago, but he had yet to enter Venno’s office, having been pacing back and forth outside the doors in the small hallway.

He had no idea what had gotten into him, having just let the bounty go and let them keep the ring, despite having promised that he would return it later that day.

It was clear that the ring was important to the shop owner, considering it had been a custom ring, and the owner who bought it was to pick it up the next day.

But he had just let the two Wolf Hound demons have it, the thing already having been used in a proposal, and in front of a large audience, too.

Dexx sighed in frustration as he clasped his hands to his head, his head spinning as a million thoughts ran through his head.

He had no idea why he decided to let them keep the ring, despite the importance of it being picked up the next day by the actual customer who bought it.

He had just been going with his instincts, which was something that he was very familiar with since he had been a thief before and had been forced to listen to what his instincts told him to do.

The Anglerfish demon knew that Venno had to make tough choices before, having let a few bounties go because of her instincts telling her they were innocent or what they did wasn’t even that bad, but Dexx had no idea what Venno would think when she found out the ring wasn’t going to be returned.

Dexx finally stopped pacing back and forth outside Venno’s office, the Anglerfish demon taking a deep breath before sighing in an attempt to calm his nerves.

Which worked somewhat but not as much as he thought it would have, but it was too late to take a few minutes to properly do so because he had already opened the doors and had walked in.

Venno perked up from her seat at her desk, the Velociraptor demoness tilting her head to the side.

“I was wondering when you’d finally come in. You were pacing out there for quite a while, I was actually starting to worry and go out to see if you were alright” said Venno, the Velociraptor demoness chuckling lightly to try and relieve the visible tension Dexx was feeling.

Dexx was shocked when he heard this, the Anglerfish demon now confused.

“What? How did you know I was out there?” asked Dexx, the Anglerfish demon coming over and taking a seat on one of the seats in front of Venno’s desk.

Venno turned her computer monitor around, showing an image of what looked to be a security feed of some hallways with the main screen showing an image that could only be the small hallway just outside her office.

“I had one of the maintenance guys set up a security camera just out in the hallway. I was getting a little tired of being startled whenever someone knocked on my door and had no idea who would be out there” explained Venno simply, a smile on her face as she turned the monitor back around.

Venno then frowned as she tilted her head to the side, now confused and worried.

“Now, circling back to my first question, are you alright? It looked like something was really bothering you. Did something happen while you were out on your hunt?” asked Venno, the Velociraptor demoness knowing that something was definitely bothering Dexx.

Dexx sighed, the Anglerfish demon quickly letting out a light chuckle as he crossed his arms.

“You know me too well, just like I know you. I don’t think you’re going to like what I’m about to tell you” admitted Dexx, the Anglerfish demon frowning as he said the last part.
