A/N: This is the last chapter of this time in Dexlee's story! Thank you to everyone who went along with ride with me the first time and this second time. I hope to start the next part of their story soon.

"He spoke of you often back then as well and I didn't understand it. Then he told me that he found you again and I still didn't understand. How is it that some American trollop managed to bamboozle him so much? I knew back then that you were bad luck and I was proven right, and to top it all off the man wants to marry you. You have slowly and meticulously ruined my family ..."

"I'm going to stop you right there, ma'am. I'm not going to sit here and allow you to speak to me and insult me like that." I said.

"I'm not finished."

"With all due respect and a waning patience, I could care less if you're finished or not. I knew this was a bad idea but you come to my home, insult and disrespect me in such a way and I'm supposed to sit here and take it? No, no not at all. Deckard wanted us to meet and had the hopes that we could get along but that obviously isn't going to happen if you want to focus solely on the past. Yes, those things did happen. No, I wasn't entirely to blame for them. Deckard and I have gotten over those things because we love each other. Now, I would very much like for you to finish enjoying your night with your sons so I'm going to go inside and excuse myself from dinner." I told her, getting off of the chaise.

My nerves and fear had turned into blinding rage and I can't really let that out right now for Deckard's sake. I won't lash out, I won't pay her in kind, I'm just going to go upstairs and lock myself in the room. That's the safest option.

"Wait, I need to finish this and you're going to listen." she said, grabbing my wrist.

"Ma'am, the one thing I've learned is the importance of family. You're very important to him and as such, I refuse to lash out or lose my temper. Say whatever you want to say about me but I love your son. I just won't sit here and allow you to further insult me or my relationship."

"He wants you here with us." she countered.

"Despite what he thinks, he can't always get everything he wants."

"Will you let me finish? For my son's sake?"

"Listen lady, you're not gonna use my feelings for your son to sit here and talk about me no type of way. I'm very close to losing the tenuous grip I have on my patience right now and for Deckard's sake I don't want to do that. Let go." I growled, pulling my hand from her grasp.

"There's the woman I was waiting to see."

"What?"

"He said you have fire in you and he wasn't lying. I admire that part of you and was wondering when I would see it. It's quite the show." she said, knocking the wind out of me.

"I'm sorry, what?" I asked, realizing how many times I've said that in the past few days.

"You've been part of a team that has done so much damage to my family but you are different, you're special. You have many redeeming qualities."

"Really? Such as what?" I sarcastically asked, fighting the urge to walk away.

"Your quick wit, that fire, your loyalty. I did my research on you, Kaylee Cortez and many people speak highly of you. The best quality you have is the way that you love my son." she said.

The curves this conversation has taken have me in a jumbled mess in my own mind. I don't really know what's happening right now.

"I ... don't know what to say." I admitted.
