A/N: One more chapter left!! Thank you all for taking this journey with me again. There will be more Dexlee, I just gotta put pen to paper for a while first.

Dex and I made another quick pitstop to grab some wine before going back to the house to prepare for dinner. He had taken out the food and prepped it this morning so that it would be ready to cook when we got back. This whole domesticated moment that we're having is really weird but in a good way. This will be our life now, we can have this settled down moment without looking over our shoulders or lies. I'm positive that we'll get into more trouble, it's who we are and what we do but for now, this seems absolutely perfect.

"Hey, you need help?" I asked Deckard, wrapping my arms around his waist from behind as he chopped something.

"Hmm, I'm sure I need your help for something but I'm good for right now. Go get pretty."

"That's sexist." I complained.

"You're sexy, go get pretty for me love. Please." he said, turning to wrap his arms around me and kiss me.

"Fine." I sighed.

Going upstairs I took a quick shower pulling on a nude, knee-length dress that had a black lace overlay. I debated over the shoes but decided on a pair of black heels and rose gold accessories. After dinner I can just come and change into a pair of flats. When I went downstairs, Deckard was still cooking. He turned around when he heard the heels hit the tile and his smile was well worth it.

"You look beautiful." he smiled, kissing me. "And you're nervous."

"What? No, I'm not." I countered, but of course I am.

"You won't stop twirling your ring around and you're picking at the hem of your dress. I know you well, love. You don't have anything to worry about." he insisted.

"Meeting your mother after everything my family has been through with yours is scaring the shit out of me. Then you add the fact that your brother is coming too, the man that we pushed out of a plane, is scaring the shit out of me. I'm willing to bet any amount of money that I'm not her favorite person right now, and I don't blame her. I just ... I want to make a good impression because I love you." I sighed.

"No one is blaming ..."

"You don't know that."

"At the moment, everyone did what they had to do." he said, cupping my cheek.

"I don't want this meal to be uncomfortable mi amor, I'm just doubting how much good my presence could do. Especially if what you want is a nice meal with your family."

"Nonsense, she wants to meet you." he said.

"Okay ... go get ready." I smiled, caressing his face softly.

"I'm going to go shower, they'll be here soon enough. Don't be nervous, she's going to love you as much as I do." he smiled.

"Right." I said, making him laugh.
