Chapter 6 - Mind vs Heart

"Am I the only one seeing this?" Roman asked.

"Oh, this oughta be good." the still nameless new guy muttered and Roman made a few unkind gestures and mimicked him.

"You're cruising for a bruising little boy." I said, making Letty, Hobbs, Nobody, and Dex laugh.

Hearing his laughter and seeing his smile, it feels good. It feels right and it feels wrong and I feel confused. I still love the man. My family hates him but I'm not my family and I have a right to be happy. Right? I placed my hand softly on one of his cheeks and kissed the other, smiling when he turned his face to kiss the palm of my hand.

"Use God's Eye. We put our lives on the line running around the world trying to figure this thing out and get it safe. It can find anybody, right? Let's use it to find Dom." He said as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.

"Roman, that is a great idea." Mr. Nobody quickly and rapidly replied with a smile on his face.

Hmm, something in that placating tone of his and that stupid smile on his face, makes me think that it's not that easy. I mean come on, there's no way that he didn't try that already which is probably why we're here. This also means that this thing is going to be very difficult, especially if we have to find Dom to figure it all the fuck out. More so with Cipher involved.

"Did you hear that? Great idea! No, no, no, don't tune it out." Roman smiled, turning to look at Ramsey and wink.

"Mr. Nobody, let's fire it up." Hobbs said.

I'm a little surprised that my thought hasn't dawned on anyone else but whatever, they'll get to it soon enough. Tej and I started typing on the main computer, loading what we need into God's Eye's mainframe system. It didn't take long for our selected target to pop up on the big screen. It feels too easy. I walked over to Tej and Ramsey and waited.

"Got him, he's in London." Tej said.

After he said that, my previous thoughts were proven true. Suddenly more dots started appearing on the screen, making it seem as if he's all over the globe. This isn't gonna be easy at all but it'll be fun, I'll give Dom that.

"Wait, we've got a 2nd match in Hong Kong." Ramsey said.

"Beijing and Seoul and Tokyo." Tej said.

"And just about every other major city on the planet." I said.

"You thought about this already." Dex said.

"So did you, as soon as Roman mentioned it." I replied, looking over at him with a smile.

"Hey!" Roman argued.

"And so God's Eye was where we started. Cipher's already created an evasion that masked her location by pinging random spots all over the globe and used it for Dom, but it was a good thought, Roman." Nobody said.

"So, she made my program obsolete." Ramsey said, a little bite in her tone.

"And that, Ramsey, is why you are here." Nobody replied with his signature, creepy-ass, weird smile.

"Damn it." I muttered, looking at the screen and trying to figure out what the next step should be.

"See, simple solutions aren't gonna cut it slick." the new guy said with some major side-eye in Roman's direction.

"Why are you looking at me when you saying that?" Roman demanded.

I held up my finger to stop the retaliation and silence everyone while I formulated and organized my thoughts. They all just looked at me for a few seconds, I could see the smirk on Dex's face. He knows me better than anyone here except for Letty maybe, he knows the inner workings of my brain. Everything that we have and everything that we just learned is rolling through my head as I think of the options.
