"Izu? Are you still awake, darling?" Momo was still laying in bed with Izuku, the boy snuggled up to her chest. He had been trying to fall asleep for some time but couldn't. Momo could hear his breathing speeding up and slowing down and he was twitching in her arms. Even after Kirishima had left, he couldn't relax.
The small broccoli boy nodded his head slightly, letting the Mama alpha know he wasn't asleep. He hugged her tighter and sniffled. The memories of his lost babies wouldn't stop running through his mind. And they made him think of all the terrible things that the clients and Chisaki and his men did to him. Even when he was free, they still had control over his life.
Pulling the big blankets tighter around him and petting his green hair, Momo kissed his head softly and hugged him. "I can tell you a story to help you sleep. Would you like that?" Izu nodded his head again, so Momo continued. "I once knew a cute little pup, he was a lot like you. He had green hair and so many freckles~" She brushed Izu's hair and booped his nose to make the boy giggle a little. "He wished he could live in a little house out in the country, where there was grassy fields to run in and trees to climb in. But he lived in a city, in a big building that had lots of little homes all next to each other." Momo looked down at Izu. "When you were little, did you live in a building that had lots of little homes?"
The story made Izuku had a flashing memory of his childhood. It was a time before he was taken. He had a home and it was next to other homes. Izu nodded his head. "It was like this place," he said quietly.
"It was like this place?" Momo repeated. "Like an apartment complex."
"What that?" Izu asked.
"I'll explain it after the story," Momo said and smiled. "This little pup lived in this home with his mommy and daddy. Just like you did, Izu."
Izu shook his head. "I...uhm, you Mama. And...and I, mommy. But daddy no there. I no 'member..."
"It's okay, Izu." Momo gave him another kiss on the head. "So you lived alone with your mother," she repeated once again.
Outside the bedroom, Uraraka sat in a chair just out of sight near the door. Momo's repeating of Izu's quiet replies let her hear the answers and type them on her phone. She forwarded each detail to Iida. The more data they collected, the better their chance at finding out who Izu really is. It left Ura to wonder, if they found Izu's mother, would Kirishima and Bakugo be willing to let him go back to her?
Down in the basement, the two alphas sat in a room along with the intelligence technician. They watched the bespectacled man type all the data into his computer and used it to cross reference with hundreds of missing children's files from across the country.
"Using data such as this as we can narrow down who he is and when he was taken," Iida explained. "He has no DNA in the police system, but if the one who held him, Chisaki, has influences in the police, they might have put in a fake sample so that Izuku could never be found. Coaster please!" Iida's hand snapped up, straight and stiff and aimed at Bakugo, who was about to put a can of soda down on the table.
"The fuck you say to me, four eyes!?" Bakugo growled back at the beta.
Iida never showed fear in front of Bakugo, he didn't show much emotion at all really. But he was always strict. "This equipment is very sensitive and very expensive. Just one!" His hand snapped up again with a single digit pointed up. "Drop of condensation falling into an open port can wreck it all. So! Coaster."
Kirishima chuckled and passed one of the cloth coasters to his mate. Bakugo snarled and dropped the coaster on the table before putting his drink down. Then he flipped off Iida who was no longer looking at them.
