Chapter 72 Cake

The two alphas glared at each other. Kat's substance abuse was the only thing that ever led to them really having a fight. But Kat ignores him right now and wagged his finger, telling Izu to come over. He took out more cocaine from his pocket and held it ready for Izu.

Sero noticed the two alphas having their private spat. He wanted to intervene, but he knew it wasn't his place. So, he stayed on the side with Shoto, who was watching too. Hearing what Eijiro thought of Kat's drug habit always made him question his own.

Shoto watched as Izu took a bump off of Kat's finger. He giggled and rubbed his little nose before sneezing. The alpha gave him a tissue before picking him up again. Sho turned to Sero and pulled him by the shirt getting his attention.

"Hey, what's up?" Shoto asked pulling him away from the crowd.

"Uhh sorry..." Sero blushed a little and rubbed the back of his head. He looked back at Kat and frowned. "That's my friend, and I'm his dealer. But I know... I know he takes too much. I'm worried the path he's going down is self-destructive and I don't want to be the guy who led him there. And I feed his addiction... And I know I have my own addiction, but I don't think I'm as bad..."

Shoto could tell that Sero was very conflicted about this. He obviously loved doing drugs, he used them plenty. But he didn't want to be the cause of his friend's death from overdose. Again Sero demonstrated that he was an alpha who really wasn't a strong willed alpha.

"People make choices" Shoto said sternly with a raised eyebrow. "You can't be upset with yourself because he chooses to keep buying from you. Same with that omega, he wants it just as bad as his alpha."

Izu was handing a spinning with Kat as the coke took over their bodies. Some omegas had gone to get some food while Denki was being thrown in the air by his own alpha.

"They look happy to me, the only people who don't are the ones who aren't on drugs" Shoto said pulling his alpha in for a little kiss. "So stop pouting, it's not sexy."

Those words caused Sero to pause. Was it part of his alpha instinct to want to protect his friends? Or was he just feeling guilty because he had been so useless to the gang recently? He wanted to be useful. But Shoto was right, he couldn't try to control other peoples' lives or worry about their decisions.

Sero leaned in and touched his forehead to Shoto's. He sighed and gave him a small smile. "Thank you. You're kind of becoming my life counselor. I guess we're kind of taking care of each other." He chuckled and pulled a joint out of his own pocket and popped it into his mouth. "Care to give us a light?~"

Shoto giggled lighting the joint before he started to dance to the music playing. It wasn't all kid songs so they had time to dance like adults. Staff members were dancing together, eating, or putting their gifts aside for Denki to open.

The blonde started opening more gifts getting even more excited when he saw a white throne for him to sit in. The omega really felt like royalty as he opened up his gifts from everyone.

Shinsou filled a plate with food and brought it up to Denki and began feeding him as he opened presents. He used a fork and made Denki look at him every few seconds to take a bite. Uraraka and Mina sat beside Denki and were stacking and organizing the gifts that he had opened. They took pictures of him holding up all the new clothes and shoes he got. Every present he opened, they let him bounce and squeal, enjoying it for a minute before he was distracted by the next one.

"Are you having fun, bumblebee?" Shinsou smiled and kissed the boy on the head and nuzzled his cheek. "A fun birthday?" Anzu came over and sat on Denki's other side.

"Yes Toshi! The best birthday ever!" Denki said proudly as he nuzzled his mother to came to kiss him. She brought over a little box with 2 charm bracelets for him.
