Shoto didn't speak. He didn't say a single word as he thought about his choices in life. Thinking about how people here treated each other and that Sero had a good supportive family. Sero wanted to be there for him and all Shoto did was reject him over and over. The omega began to regret every time he said no to the alpha. He wanted to stop now, he wanted to be better for his family but he knew it was going to be harder than anything else he had ever done. Withdrawal, the nightmares returning, his fears and anxieties, and his true confidence were all now going to be on display. Every mistake he ever made, every bad thing he had ever done was now going to come shining to the light once this process began and that's what Shoto feared most.

"Come on! Let's get a move on," Bakugo growled at everyone as he picked up Izuku. "Zuzu has cookies to make later and then he needs to get in bed for Santa Claus tonight."

Sero stepped back with Shoto as Bakugo led his two mates and Momo with Henry out the door. All of them went back to bickering like they normally did. They got into their black SUVs and drove off. Sero looked at Shoto and brushed his hair back.

"Let's get back to the room," he said, sounding much more calm. "We can get properly dressed and Medicine Girl can come up to check on you. Does that sound good?" He looked down at the tape. "Can I trust you if I get rid of the tape?"

Shoto nodded his head. He didn't want to run anymore. He didn't want to hurt their pups or their family. Shoto felt his heart breaking into pieces learning how much damage he could possibly be doing to his pups by taking drugs and drinking. He hopes he didn't already do irreversible damage to them, but he now realized that he may have done more than anyone could help. Just as his body was set free Shoto didn't move a muscle at first, he couldn't believe what he had done. Shoto held his belly but still didn't speak. Sero waited patiently knowing the omega needed time to process everything he just heard.

"I..." Shoto tried to speak out but he couldn't. His tongue was locked in his mouth while his mind rushed in 10 directions. His younger self always said if he ever chose to be a mother he would be the best there was, and now he was causing harm to the very life he held in his stomach.

"Come here, Princess." Sero grabbed Shoto by the waist and lifted the omega off the cold floor. He hugged his omega mate to his chest and let Shoto wrap his arms and legs around him. Sero took his long hair and draped it over his shoulder like a red and white scarf. "Let's get you to bed."

The walk back to the elevators and up to the room was a silent one. Sero had lost his phone somewhere, probably in the stairwell, so he'd call Medicine Girl from the bedroom. The alpha kept Shoto pressed tight to his chest and let the omega nuzzle into his neck to breathe in his soothing pheromones. Sero's hands massaged Sho's back and he gave the sad omega kisses on the neck to comfort him.

Getting back to the bedroom, they walked in and Sero gently laid Shoto down on the bed. He fluffed up the pillows for the omega and pulled up the blanket to cover him. Then Sero went to grab some water bottles and placed a quick call down to the medical bay to get the doctor to come up. He walked back to bed and opened one of the bottles.

"Are you thirsty, Shoto?" Sero asked quietly. He brushed the boy's hair back so he could see Shoto's face.

Shoto could feel his entire brain flipping around in his skull. The mix of drugs and the thought of being the reason their pups died made the omega feel horrible. He knew he was responsible for whatever damage that had been caused for his long history of drug use. Shoto curled up on the bed in his burrito of blankets and shook his head turning down the water.

"It's all my fault..." Shoto whispered holding his knees. He rocked in the bed a little which was something Sero had only seen him do rarely. The omega felt himself starting to cry but he tried to stay as silent as he could. "It's my fault."
