"NOOOO!!!" Sero screamed as he stumbled back in through the window. His eyes locked on Dabi and all logic and human thought left him. The alpha made a beastly roar and flung himself at his love's murderer.

Dabi spun and aimed his gun at Sero as tape shot past him and grabbed the wall behind him. He fired two shots as the black-haired man rocketed towards with a killer's fury in his eyes. The gunshots did nothing to stop Sero's attack. The alpha tackled Dabi, hit him in the gut, knocking the wind out of him and making him lose the gun. Dabi fell on his back and quickly tried to summon flames to fend off his enemy. But his flames met resistance from Sero's soaked clothes and damp skin. The enraged Sero grabbed Dabi's face, his fingers pulling at the staples holding his burned skin. Dabi screamed and his flames shot out wildly.

Sero might have had words before, some cocky remark or witty line to say before attacking, but there were no words that could encompass everything he felt. Holding Dabi's head down, Sero raised his fist and thrust it down, slamming it into the burned man's throat and crushing his windpipe. Dabi immediately began choking and gagging, desperately trying to take in a breath.

Wanting to see his eyes, Sero grabbed the sides of Dabi's head and made him look up into the black-haired man's eyes. Dabi's fists through flames madly, some of them burning Sero, but none of them able to stop the alpha who had quickly taken power over him. No pain or injury was going to stop Sero. He had just lost the last thing that gave his life meaning. There was nothing left for him now. Nothing but revenge.

"Look at me, you motherfucker!" Sero screamed in Dabi's face. The pyro's eyes were wide open and teary-eyed as he gasped for breath.

Sero reached to the side and grabbed a shard of Shoto's ice which hadn't melted yet. As if by fate, it was about the length of a knife and sharp at the tip. Sero held it over Dabi's face, the point of it right over his eye.

"For Shoto." It wasn't witty, but he didn't care. To Sero, it was the only thing that mattered. With a howl, he pushed the icicle down and pierced Dabi's skull through the eye and to his brain.

The burned man twitched on the ground for a minute as blood leaked out around the ice, but soon he went still. Images of Kosei, Shoto, their father, and their home, all passed through Dabi's mind in an flash and then they were gone. His body went limp and his one other eye began to roll back, unseeing and lifeless.

"Ptth!" Sero spit on the motionless face of Dabi. Blood leaked out around the icicle and pooled on the crimson carpet.

At least it wouldn't stain, Sero thought. That was the kind of witty comment Shoto would have made. The alpha tried to stand up but he collapsed back to the floor immediately, pain shooting through his leg. Checking himself, Sero saw blood on his clothes, centered around his left hip and shoulder. In his adrenaline-fueled rage, he hadn't even felt the bullets hitting him. His shoulder didn't feel any worse than usual, but the bullet in his hip made his leg hurt like hell.

The room was burning all around him. Dabi's flames had set the bed and the walls on fire. The melting ice covered the floor in water which gave Sero a small sanctuary from the fire, but the smoke was still filling the room. The billowed out of the broken window and through the door into the hotel hallway.

"Sh-Sho..." Sero groaned and crawled across the floor towards the motionless Shoto. He pulled himself forward and choking on smoke until he was laying down next to his dead omega. His red hair covered the small hole in his forehead, making it look like nothing was wrong. Sero coughed and grabbed the boy's shirt and pulled him closer. He wanted to beg, to cry out and hope that it wasn't real, but denial wasn't worth it. Shoto was gone. His Princess was gone.

"I love you, Shoto." Sero cupped the pale boy's cheek and leaned in to kiss him on his red-haired side. His skin already felt cold, even with the fire burning around them. Tears fell down the alpha's cheek as he curled up next to Shoto. "You're... You're not supposed to be cold on this side. This... is your... warm..."
