Across town, at Club Pynk, business was as lively as ever. Some of the omegas rescued by the gang had come to work at the club as servers and walk-around entertainers, those that were old enough. The lifestyle that had been ingrained into their minds was hard to let go. This was easier for them than learning a new way to make money and live on their own.

One stage had special importance to one of the guests. The alpha sat in a lounger, drinking whiskey and smoking one blunt after another as he stared at the stage. Any omega that came to him to try and give him company was quickly dismissed. He had been there every day for at least two weeks. The alpha watched the stage with anticipation, but none of the dancers who came out were able to satisfy him.

"Even worse than the last one..." Sero muttered as he dropped another spent joint into a small ashtray. He looked at the jungle theme of the stage and snarled. It had been better with snowflakes and winter themes. And the omega dancing on it...

Sero sighed and hung his head. Every day he came here, and every day he wondered if it would be easier. He imagined Shoto up on the stage and hoped some new dancer would be able to overwrite that memory. The alpha prayed that someone could help him get over the love he lost. But nobody could. None were better. But, Sero had nowhere else to go. He pulled out another joint and put it in his lips. As he reached for his lighter, he wondered if he could overdose on marijuana.

"Everyday" Sero heard making him turn his head. "Everyday you've into my business and critiqued my dancers. It seems no one has been able to meet your taste level."

It was Uncle Twinkle, the statuesque omega stood before him and a dazzling suit. His nails long, his heels tall and sharp with his makeup done to perfection. The owner sat down next to the alpha and smiled at him.

"Come to my office, you're clearly not having any fun here" he said. Sero thought about refusing but he and the omega already had a civil friendship. "Come along now."

Sero pulled the short joint from his lips, licked his fingers, and put out the burning end. He tucked the joint into his inner pocket before standing up. He dropped some bills on the table as a tip to his server before following Uncle Twinkle.

After their regular visits to find job placements for the wayward omegas, Sero had come to know a lot about Aoyama. The owner of the club was a dominant omega, like Shoto had been. He used his authority to keep his omega workers in line but also to help them keep their noses clean of trouble. Dabi's secret squad of omegas in the club had been tossed out after they'd been exposed. Perhaps, Sero wondered, Shoto may have lived if they'd never disturbed his business. Sero still wasn't sure what had caused Dabi to attack his younger brother. Uncle Twinkle could smell the sorrow and depression on the alpha. Even over the stench of booze and weed, the alpha's rampant emotions were coming off him like a flood that everybody could sense.

"I miss him too" Yuga said closing the door to his office. The omega sat on his desk and motioned for the alpha to take a seat. Sero moved to sit on the omega's fuzzy purple couch. "He was a wonder, a pure talent, a full on showstopper."

"Sho..." Sero mumbled feeling his emotions rise up again.

"Cry if you must but you know Sho would hate it" Yuga said moving to sit in his chair.

Sero chuckled a little and actually smiled. "Yeah... Yeah he would." The alpha looked at the sparkly omega and grinned. "He'd have some snarky and sassy comment about alphas showing weaknesses... Then he'd tell me to get over it and move on..." The alpha shook his head and rested his chin in his hand. "He was always stronger than me. I was... I didn't live through the struggles like he had. His soul was practically forged into steel. And I was the matchstick man that he held up." Sero sniffed quickly and wiped at his nose. "And I didn't say it enough. I could have told him months earlier. We could have been out of that hotel and safe at my house. We could have..." Countless scenarios ran through his head. All the possible 'what if...' situations that led to Sero's doubt.
