Lizzie POV
When I wake up I can't stop myself from smiling. The sun is shining, I'm cuddled up to my bug and we have such a fun day planned ahead of us. My mind plays last night on repeat as I snuggle closer to her still sleeping form. Last night was...one of the best nights of my life.
It's a little silly though. I mean all that happened was some kissing but...it was still so special. Everything seems to feel more special with her.
Maybe it's because of how long we've known each other. Or the separation we went through to get right back to each other. Whatever it is, it's making me really happy.
I lean back a little to look at her sleeping face. Her long lashes resting on her cheeks and slightly parted lips pull my attention. I smile when her lips move slightly. She must be dreaming. I lean forward to leave a soft kiss on her cheek and she sighs, making me smile.
It feels really nice to be like this with her again, to kiss her and snuggle too. It's making me insanely happy, happier than I've been in a long time and I didn't even know that was possible.
As much as I love staring at her like a creep while she sleeps, I want her awake now so I continue to leave kisses on her cheek and jaw until she takes a deep breath and hums to herself, her eyes fluttering open.
"That's a great way to wake up." She decides, her voice raspy and way too attractive.
"Good morning, bug." I whisper and she smiles sleepily, still slowly blinking as she wakes up. Her arm around my back tightens, pulling me closer until I'm laying half on top of her and she reaches up with her other hand to push my messy hair out of my face.
"Good morning, Sunshine." She greets brushing her thumb over my cheek, making me smile. "There's my favorite smile." She whispers, a lazy smile on her lips. An uncontrollable blush floods my face and she smiles wider.
"Did you sleep well?" I ask, my eyes searching hers.
"I did, you?" She returns, still brushing her thumb against my cheek.
"Mhm, I slept like a baby." I confirm. Her eyes flick to my lips before they are back on mine and I tilt my head in question.
"Is it okay if I kiss you?" She asks timidly, making me smile so hard I scrunch my nose.
"I thought there weren't any rules?" I remind her with a small laugh.
"Mhm, but I still want to make sure I have your consent." She explains and it makes my heart melt.
"You don't have to ask to kiss me." I assure her and she grins, guiding me down to meet her lips in a soft kiss that makes my entire body spark with excitement. Every touch, every word, every look from her is intense and although scary, I know it's exactly what I want love to feel like.
The door swings open and Aiden walks in, effectively ending our kiss. I blush and hide my face into her neck as he crawls up into the bed. "Hey Aid, remember it's nice to knock before going into a room right?" Y/N reminds him. I peek at the child and smile at his adorable shark pajamas.
"Yes. Sorry. You're cuddling." He points out, sitting criss-cross applesauce to the side of his Auntie.
"Yeah, cuddling is nice." Y/N replies simply.
"I like cuddling but only with people that don't make my skin burn." Aiden shares easily as he brushes his fingers over the fuzzy blanket covering us.
"You like cuddling with Mia the best huh?" Y/n continues their conversation and it makes me smile. Although his timing is a little off, she gives him all her attention and it's insanely sweet.
