Y/N POV
After last night I'm a little embarrassed. I mean, who the fuck breaks down in front of their ex who's engaged and only here because she feels bad for you?
I'm struggling with her being here. On the one hand she's being sweet but on the other hand she's confusing me and I don't have time for it. So, I've decided to talk to her only if I have to. I can be civil and not actively try to have any sort of relationship with her.
Speaking of relationships, I woke up this morning with a few texts from Hailee telling me she is on her way. It made me smile. I told her she didn't need to come but she is anyway and it just shows how much she cares about me. She's my best friend besides Pam and I'm actually really excited to see her.
I think she finished filming in April so at least I'm not making her miss anything.
I walk into the kitchen and notice that there are already waffles waiting for everyone on the table. Lizzie is humming to herself as she pours juice and milk into glasses and looks up when she notices me. "Good morning." She offers lightly and I nod.
Aiden and Mia come running down the stairs before I can say anything and stop when they see the big breakfast waiting for them.
"Whoa, thank you Auntie Lizard." Mia speaks first and hops up onto a stool. Aiden follows and I help him up onto the stool next to his sister.
"Thank you Lizard." Aiden offers as she pushes a plate in front of him. I watch as a smile grows on her lips, her perfect teeth on display as she observes Aiden cut his waffles.
"You're welcome kiddos. Milk or Juice?" She asks and slides over their preferences once they tell her what they want. Her gaze flickers up to me and she offers a tight lipped smile. "Milk or Juice Y/N?" She asks softly.
I sit down next to Aiden as I answer, "Juice, thank you." I respond and start eating with the kids.
Pam comes down the stairs and looks briefly surprised by the food laid out for everyone. "Good morning." She offers and kisses both of the kids' heads before squeezing my shoulder.
Once she has her food, Lizzie also sits down and smiles softly at Mia who looks up at her with a mouth full of waffles.
"So, school tomorrow." I remind the kids and regret bringing it up when Mia shrinks.
"I like school. School is fun. I'm smart, Lizard." Aiden shares and Lizzie looks over to him with a smile.
"I know you are. What do you like most about school?" She asks.
"Math. Math is easy. It makes sense." He replied quickly.
"Math is not easy, Aiden. Math is hard for me." Mia butts in.
"It is okay if you are not good at it. You are good at music." He decides and I can't help but smile.
"You're good at music too though." She reminds him.
"Music is my special interest. We can be a band." He decides and Mia smiles softly.
"You want to be in a band with me? That's a lot of time we have to spend together." She reminds him.
"I like spending time with you. You are blue." He states simply, melting my heart. I catch Lizzie's questioning gaze.
"Aiden, what color am I?" I ask and he looks over to me.
"Auntie Y/N. You are blue." He decides.
"And Pam?" I continue and he shifts to look at her.
"Auntie Pam is green." He concludes before looking at Lizzie. "Lizard. Lizard is yellow."
