Y/N POV
The minute I was dropped off to this award show, I had a sinking feeling in my stomach. Mostly because I have a feeling a particular ex will be here and I haven't seen her in 9 years.
Since we called in quits, we've kept our distance and lived our separate lives. So much has happened to the both of us. Now how do I know a lot has happened for her? Well she's a huge fucking actress now and I cannot escape her. My tik tok page is full of her. Not that I'm complaining.
Her involvement in Marvel made sure I knew what she was doing this entire time. She's been doing fucking fantastic and I'm proud of her. She's booked and busy just like I predicted.
She's also with a man named Robbie and although I hate the idea, I actually really like his band.
Anyway, I'm fucking nervous because while she is a big star, I've stayed pretty much under the radar and I love it. I write my music, work with artists on their albums and more recently I've started writing music for streaming shows.
I wrote this song for Julie and the Phantoms called Edge of Great and it was nominated for best Musical Moment so the team sent me to take home the award. It was already announced that it won, otherwise I would not be here. I was the only person available to go, but I think Charlie sent in a video too.
Thankfully I don't have to get up on stage or say anything to anyone, so I'm hoping to continue to fly under the radar and avoid my ex. I hate calling her that but...whatever.
I freeze in my tracks as I enter the building when I see her. Holy shit.
I haven't seen her in so long. I mean I've seen her pictures but not her in real life like this.
She's wearing an adorable black dress that shows off her long legs. Her hair is up in a bun, her bangs framing her face perfectly. So simple yet so cute and elegant at the same time.
I continue moving as Pam pushes at my back to get to my seat. "I know she's here but we really need to get going." She whispers and I sigh.
"I feel like I'm freezing to death." I tell her as my body reacts to seeing her.
"I know, maybe you can talk later but we gotta go talk to some people." She reminds me about the networking opportunity this night offers. The entire time I'm talking to people that I could potentially work with my mind is on her. She's here, she's in this building.
Pam saves me about ten minutes later and brings me to our seats so we can watch the show.
When Kathryn Hahn received the award for Best Villain, I might have cheered obnoxiously loud. When she thanks Lizzie my stomach flips and I'm reminded that she might win and get up on stage and speak and now my palms are sweating.
Her name is announced for best performance in a TV show and I can't help but smile as she walks out. Her adorable speech starts out with thanking the Marvel fans and I swear we make eye contact but I might have imagined it. She mentions that she's played the character for 7 years and I'm reminded about how long we've been apart.
They end up winning the best fight and their acceptance speech is legendary. Not only does it start with them fighting before they walk out, Lizzie suggests that they win Best Kiss. I'm sorry what? That's so gay, Lizard. I smile widely when they start play fighting again and watch carefully as they exit the stage.
They come back out when they win for best show and Lizzie quotes a song that I really like...ending with the words love will save the day. Fuck she's adorable.
Wandavision is literally my favorite show and it's not because she's in it...only a little bit. It was truly an amazing show and I'm glad that they won so many awards.
