Lizzie POV
When I wake up Saturday morning cuddled up to my bug I can't help but smile. I'm still in awe that we are even here together after such a long time. I wiggle closer, snuggling my face into her neck and smile when she giggles.
"That tickles, babe." She whispers and I grin.
"Morning, bug." I speak quietly before kissing the side of her neck.
"Morning, sunshine." She replies and hugs me closer.
"What would you like to do today?" I ask hoping she says something that has to do with being with me. I'm being very clingy but I don't care.
"I don't have anything specific in mind, maybe check on my apartment to make sure my plants aren't dead." She offers and I try not to pout. "Wanna come?" She adds on and I smile.
"Yes." I confirm and lean away from her neck to look into her eyes. She smiles softly as she reaches up to tuck some of my hair behind my ear and I can't help but smile wider.
"There's my favorite smile." She whispers before guiding me down into a sweet kiss, her soft palm against my cheek. The soft kiss makes my body warm up and I pout a little when she leans back to kiss the tip of my nose. When she sees my pout she pecks my lips a couple times to make me smile.
"Secret weapon." I whisper and she giggles.
"You're a goof." She decides, her eyes sparkling as she smiles up at me.
"Your goof?" I ask.
"Yeah, my goof." She confirms and my stomach flips. I snuggle back into her chest and she chuckles.
We lay in bed all morning cuddling and sharing sweet kisses until our tummies start to grumble. I slip out of bed and into some jeans and a simple shirt to go make my love some breakfast while she showers.
Just as I'm plating some pancakes she walks out in her black skinny jeans and a white t-shirt. It's a simple outfit but she makes it look so attractive. We sit together as we eat breakfast and I can't stop looking at her. "That's my shirt." I realize the longer I observe her movements.
"Sure is. Thanks for letting me borrow it, babe." She winks and I smile as the butterflies fill my stomach. I feel like a little girl with a crush the longer I continue my staring.
Every time she catches me she just smiles and makes a goofy face to make me laugh. Once we are done eating, we get into my car and head to her apartment. She sings along to the songs on the radio and plays with my fingers in her lap.
I really want to look over to her but I'm afraid if I do, I won't look back at the road.
I pull into a parking spot in front of her building and as soon as I look over to her she pecks my lips. She giggles at the surprise on my face and I grin at her silliness. This feels so good being with her.
"It's probably a mess, I haven't been here since the morning before we met up for coffee." She warns me as she pulls me into the elevator. I bite my lip when she slides her fingers into my belt loops and pulls me closer, a charming smile on her face as she stares into my eyes warmly.
"I don't mind. I'm excited to see it." I offer before her lips meet mine in a soft kiss. I wrap my arms around her neck as she takes my bottom lip between hers. Before I can get too lost in the feeling the elevator dings and she's stepping away to pull me down the hall. She takes out her keys and unlocks the door, swinging it open and leading me inside with her hand on the small of my back.
I take in the sleek and simple design as we kick off our shoes to walk further into the living space. There are floor to ceiling windows with the ocean in the distance and comfy couches around a huge flat screen. Her kitchen is neat and looks barely used.
