AFTER MY HONEYMOON

chapter 10

Aaron, just got off the phone when he heard the door bell ring... and opening the door he saw it was Lillian and smiling he said Hello sister in la....." But before he could finish with his sentence he was graced with a resounding slap.. and still in shock, he received yet another one.

Until now, Lillian never understood what people meant when they said they were seeing red. But she finally understood today because indeed she was seeing red. She was absolutely livid ..

" How could you Aaron...how dare you?" She said grabbing him by the collar..

" What on earth are you talking about Lillian " he said pulling her hands off his collar.

" Richard showed me a video Aaron. We were on that video.. and the dress you gave to me as a gift... The girl in the video was wearing it and you better start explaining to me....I don't understand what's going on" she said trying as much as possible to stay calm even though she was shaking with hunger.

Aaron walked up to the bar in his house opening a drink, he began to laugh.. after pouring the drink, he took a sip of it and said " It's about time.. you know I thought Richard will never have the guts to show you the video.. so he finally did?.....the poor man has been suffering".

Walking up to the dumbfounded Lillian he said " You see it took so much time to work on that video Lillian I almost thought he wouldn't believe it at first but wow.... Technology is doing wonders in our today's world don't you think?". He said with a smile on his face.

She tried to slap him again but he held her hands and said to her " I let you slap me twice now I think that's enough.. don't you think so"? He said with a murderous glint in his eyes ..

"Why Aaron what have Richard and I done to you...you are ruining our marriage". She shouted breaking her hand free from his hold.

No I'm not ruining your marriage Lillian I've already ruined your marriage.... He certainly can't have everything can he"?.

" What do you mean by that... You know you are a sorry excuse of a human being and I certainly can't believe that I called you my friend all these years Aaron"

" He took everything away from me"! He screamed and threw the glass cup which he was holding in his hand.. and this made Lillian startled..

Walking up to her he grabbed her by the shoulders and said " He took my father's love away from me... He took our grandfather's love away from me...and as if that was not enough he took you away from me Lillian... So of course I had to do something.. I had to ruin his happiness just as he ruined mine don't you think"? His grip on her shoulders tightened and she said " Stop it Aaron your hurting me"

He loosened his grip and stepped back a little and said " I was ok with the fact that grandfather preferred him over me.. I was also alright with the fact that father never paid attention to either of us but the you... He took you away from me... we were friends.. very good friends we were Soo good together and then he came along and once again he took something I wanted so much away from me.. do you think that's fair"?.

" Just divorce him Lillian.. he is already so angry with you....he hates you". He said with a sinister look on his face

" I will tell him you planned all this.. you won't get away with this Aaron.. she said walking up to the door" she said.

" Guess who I just got off the phone with... do you really think he will believe you Lillian... I made sure all my plans were fool proof. And if I can't have you... He won't be having you either"

Walking up to him in anger she said " You are truly despicable..do you know that? I can't believe I've associated myself with someone like you.. do you think I'm some kind of property you can own?... I love Richard.. and until now I used to consider you one of my closest friends... But of course I didn't know I was eating, living, and friends with a viper.. I pray you rot in hell" she said

And as she was walking away she could hear him breaking more things and screaming " You are mine Lillian... I will never let him have you"!.

By the time she got into the car all the tears she tried so hard to hold in, came pouring down like a dam.. she kept wondering who she had wronged and why Aaron would do such a thing to her... Although, he was right she had met Aaron first because they were In the same department. They had met in the third year of the university and they got along well.. but then could he blame her, no one can tell the heart what to feel.. could they? If they could then perhaps falling in and out of love would be easy without any heartaches.

When she had met Richard for the first time she liked him a lot and through Aaron They got to hang out a lot.. they took each other's numbers, and began to text each other... And although they were both really shy, they both confessed eventually... But then again when they had told Aaron, he didn't show any signs of anger or jealousy.... rather he appeared truly happy for them.. or was it all just for show? And even up till now she still couldn't believe that Aaron would do such a thing to her, or even capable of doing such things In the first place and all that for someone who would never love you back....because now she hated him so much she wasn't sure she would ever forgive him.

By the time she got home she was completely drained emotionally... While walking up to the porch she nearly fell but she was held up by Mr. bush-well who looked at her with so much concern on his face and asked " Madam are you alright I heard some commotion last night and earlier this morning as well" she looked at him and managed a small smile and said

 " It's nothing Mr. bush-well just a small argument.. but it will be resolved soon".

After Mr. bush-well left, she went inside the house and discovered that Richard was not at home and she decided to rest a little. Upon entering their bedroom she recalled what happened earlier this morning and decided that she would have nightmares if she slept here so she decided to go to the spare room.

But just as she was about to step out she saw a document on the bed and decided to see what it was. And upon picking it up and reading the contents she paled.
