AFTER MY HONEYMOON

This past days have been quite stressful for Mia and this stress was surprisingly not a physical one, but a mental one it was almost like she was living on edge and even the project she had earlier done a presentation on, she couldn't focus completely on it so she decided to hand it over to her friend Emily since she was leaving soon anyway.

Today was her last day here and she was still a bit anxious Because, she didn't know where in London, she would be heading to as Mr. Rodgers hadn't given her an info on it yet She was trying to send an email, when the door to her office, opened and looking up, she saw it was Emily.

"Your flight tickets are here". Emily said with a bright smile on her face. Mia reached for her tickets thanking Emily for getting them for her but before she could open to see where she was going to, Emily interrupted her and said " How about I take you out for dinner tonight.....look I know you don't like going out but please just for today since it's your last day in Australia come on girl aren't you excited I heard London has handsome specimen.... perhaps one would throw you off your feet with his sexy British accent".

"No thanks..... you know I don't have time for that and I think I'm going to take on that offer for dinner once I'm done here I will let you know".

As Emily left, she thought on her words when she asked her if she was excited....excited wasn't the word she was terrified of London.... of the memories it brought...of memories that still brought tears to her eyes if she let herself think about them...then she suddenly remembered that she hadn't even seen her flight tickets yet.

With a little bit of hesitation, she picked up the tickets that Emily, had earlier dropped on her table and looking to her destination, she saw CAMDEN.

It clearly read Camden not Greenwich....and for the first time in days, she heaved a sigh of relief it wasn't Greenwich but Camden and that was enough to calm her nerves.

Not to long after, Emily true  to her word came and they both went out to dinner she was able to eat and she even realized that she ate more then she usually ate and seeing the way she ate, Emily said "Wow Mia didn't know you were this hungry I'm glad I took you out for dinner".

Mia rolled her eyes and smiled with the food in her mouth shaking her head....Emily probably won't understand that she was feeling quite free which was why she was able to eat as much as she did.

They both said their goodbyes and goodnights and went their separate ways. Mia drove down to her house and seeing that her flight was leaving early the next day, she decided to pack her things. Opening her walk in closet she entered and she took out a suitcase which she tucked in one of the shelves and began to pack a few things...she decided to pack some accessories as well so she went Into her room, and opened the drawer which was on the vanity table and while she was taking these accessories out, something fell.

And the fact that it was glittering was what caught her attention so she stopped down to pick it up and looking at it, she saw that it was her wedding band. She remembered the day she finally took it off her hands...even after the accident and surgery, she still wore it on her fingers for a long time before she decided that they was no need dwelling on the past and took the ring off. She had even forgotten that the ring was still in her possession.

She resumed packing her things and just as she was about to wash up and go to bed she remembered that there was someone she hadn't told that she was going to London.

She opened her laptop and decided to do a video call to Anita. Anita, picked on the first ring and smiling to the screen she said " Heyy girl how have you been.... I'm a little upset with you. You haven't called for over a week now I was starting to get worried you know".
