Seven years later.......

SKY STRUCTURE,.....Has become one of the most famous construction companies in London. The Executives had just finished a very important meeting in the SKY BUILDING, in the conference room and they had yet again struck an important deal with 'THE STONE BUILDERS'.

The conference room, was on the 40th floor of the SKY BUILDING.......and this building from an outsiders point of view, was a magnificent one and the fact that it had grown so well in the past seven years both with employees and fame was what amazed a lot of people.

Nelson walked into the conference room and shook his head at his friend who was still buried in work once again he walked up to him and said " Richard come on take a break even for a little while..... alright let's go have some drinks tonight its been so long since you had drinks with me....at least let's celebrate the deal we just finalized".

" Nelson you are basically whining like a woman right now I just need to go through this blue prints that were emailed to me just now you know we have been trying to get this deal for months now we can't afford to make a mistake you know that".

Nelson drew out one of the chairs and sat down close to Richard looking at his laptop screen where the blue prints were on display and said " Well this isn't your job to do leave it to the architectural team to look over it and give their best opinion about it....you just worry about this contract and partnership you have decided to sign with them ".

" I know that..... they would be sending a representative from Australia by next week and you know that they are very famous there I heard they have many affiliates under them this deal will be very good for our company Nelson I hope everything goes well ".

Nelson got up patting him on the shoulder and said " Everything will be alright Richard just look around you all this was done by you, your hard work, and dedication and sometimes I worry that you are becoming too obsessed with your work ....which is why"... He closed the laptop and said... 

" You should go out with the team today let's celebrate all our dedication and hard work  for the last three months you know they deserve it".

Richard sighed slowly rubbing his temples and said " Alright but just for tonight".

It was 7pm when they left the building the construction and architectural team had decided to meet at a Chinese restaurant to have dinner and of course some drinks as well. Richard had been working on this deal for three months already before he was finally able to get the contract for the construction of their newest hotel that would be constructed there in London of course they had a lot of competition before they got it but thanks to his capable team they got the contract.

He had heard that the CEO was a very versatile man and he had so many branches, and affiliate in so many countries as well so he decided to grab this opportunity when it came to him. He had never really met the CEO in person since he was working with the COO of the company Mr. Rodgers.

Mr. Rodgers was like a representative of the CEO since he was told that the man had some health issues to deal with while they were still working on the partnership.

They celebrated their accomplishment with food and drinks and most of the employees had gone home since they had work the next day they greeted Richard and Nelson and soon one by one they all left leaving just Richard and Nelson behind.

Nelson had gotten an important call from his wife so he stepped out to take the call since the place was a bit noisy by the time he was back he saw Richard starring intensely at a girl who just walked into the restaurant she was putting on a black dress although it was very modest. She had short hair as well..... he watched her while she spoke to a waitress who ushered her to one of the tables and she sat there.

Richard attention was dragged back to Nelson when he said " Do you like her? If you do you can go talk to her you know". But Richard shook his head and said " No its just that"... Before he could finish his statement he was cut off by Nelson who said " Let me guess she reminds you of Lillian".

" Lillian use to wear her hair short like that you know...I've never been a hair fetish but when it comes to women I love long hair on them... but when I met Lillian I began to love short hair because it suited her so much... I wish I could see her just one more time... I have always  wondered what she would look like with a much longer hair ". 

He spoke with such adoration in his eyes and Nelson shook his head and said " I might never be able to understand you but dude its been seven years already since Lillian died don't you think its time to move on and perhaps try to find happiness again ".

" I don't know if I can do that anymore when I can't even forgive myself.... I'm the reason why she entered that plane... if only I believed her and if only I trusted her words we would have been together and she would be here with me celebrating both my small and big victories...I lost her and its all my fault".

" I know Richard but I'm sure Lillian forgives you.....she was such a sweet soul and I'm sure she would want to see you happy man.....Stop doing this to yourself I am seriously tired of seeing you like this...you have to start living for something other than work.... Richard? Rich....".

Nelson turned to see that Richard had slept off and certainly not because he was drunk. Ever since Richard was able to pick himself up from the tragedy of Lillian's death, he had sworn off any type of alcohol. And even though he earnestly hoped for Richard to move on and fine happiness again he was happy the man had something that made him function again and that was work.

He let Richard sleep a little before tapping him up and they eventually left together.
