Dark Pit's POV:

Pit-stain is an idiot.

After he died we didn't hear from him for a few days. In those few days Palutena wouldn't go out of the temple and she hardly ate at all. Her face was pale and she looked dead on her feet. We though he had died.

I was more worried about the fact that Pit saw me cry-

Constantly the centurions served Palutena food, but each time I checked on her the plates were untouched. Pit-stain you idiot! Thanks to you Palutena is broken!

I mean she wasn't the only one.

I couldn't think at all. It was like a fog had settled in my brain, it was irritating. I couldn't even think! At first I couldn't accept it, but as a week went by I had to believe that he was gone.

Palutena barely talked anymore. It was so bad that freaking Viridi had to come over to take care of things.

I don't know what would have happened to Palutena if Pit hadn't called in yesterday.

She heard him through her laurel.

"Lady Palutena! It's Pit! I have Y/N! Can you help us get back to the surface?" He had said. Lady Palutena had jumped "Pit- is it really you?" she smiled for the first time in a week "It worked Lady Palutena!"

"Oh, Pit! I'll see what I can do-!"

And now here we are at Artemis's temple, looking for books to help us figure out how to help Pit. Great.

The temple is a library filled with all of the books ever written in Greece. Heck- it's even got Homer's Odyssey. There's also a bunch of books written by these old dudes who discovered something called philosophy.

the library is at the center of Athena's temple, surrounded by a bunch of pillars that look like they'll fall and kill us at any second. The floor is made of white, polished marble tiles and there is a big statue of Athena at the center.

Show off.

Speaking of Athena, there's something up with that lady. It's like she's not human- well technically she isn't. It's like she feels nothing!

I bet Viridi 25 hearts that she wouldn't smile at all.

I'm pretty sure I'm gonna win.

Anyways, here I am in this weird library with Goody-two-shoes-Palutena, Whiney-Viridi and Athena. This is practically hell. I'll bet that Pit is having fun with Y/N right now, rowing the gondola and having adventures.

Meanwhile, I'm here looking for some book to save his butt for like the fifth time.

Life couldn't be better for me.

Yay.

I pull out a dusty book titled "Relocation spells for gods and goddesses" and I take it to Palutena "Is this it?" I sigh, she shakes her head. I groan "We've searched the whole place already! Why can't I just go and get them?!"

Palutena shakes her head once again "You can't just walk in there, Dark Pit!" I roll my eyes "But I did it once before!" "Yes- with Pandora's gem!" I cross my arms, she has a point.

Why couldn't that idiot, Pit, accept Y/N's fate? He had a world to save!

And thanks to him, I was stuck in this musty library with Viridi and Palutena- Not to mention that buzzkill Athena.

Viridi dropped a book "These stupid humans!"she snaps "They don't know a thing about nature!" Palutena ignores her "Keep looking," she tells me, turning her attention to a pile of spell books.

I roll my eyes once again and go to a new shelf. What kind of Goddess needs a spell book anyway?

Athena's drawling voice makes me drop the book I was holding "Is this the book that your goddess is looking for?"

I recoil "She is NOT my goddess-!" Athena blinks and tilts her head "I assumed that since you were together yo-" "NO." I interrupt her. Athena just shrugs, looking a little hurt, and walks over to Palutena.

I feel a stab of guilt for being so rude to her.

Then again- I have a reputation to uphold.

Palutena cheers and hugs the book tightly like it's some baby "This is the one! Thank you Athena!" Athena answers in her monotone, emotionless voice "It is my pleasure, Goddess Palutena."

God I hate her. Viridi comes over "Did you get the book, Palutena?"

Palutena nods and holds up a book titled "Falling Feathers"

what kind of title is that?! Whoever named that book is an idiot. I follow the two middle aged women, trying to hide my interest, and I flop down on the floor seeing as no chairs are available.

It's so unfair, everyone is so worried about Pit! He's playing hero on purpose- why can't anyone see that? I bet that if I went missing, no one would even notice. That's just the way it is with us clones. Everyone will always see me as Pit 2.0 and there is nothing I can do about it.

Palutena brushes the dust off the cover of the book "Don't you ever clean your library Athena?" Athena shrugs "I find no use for these books as I already know the entire contents."

Viridi looks at her "That would have saved a whole lot of trouble-" Athena just blinks "You asked for the book so I thou-" "You know what? Never mind!" Viridi interrupts.

Palutena flips through the book and stops at a specific page. Everyone stops talking as she reads, Palutena looks up and her expression isn't hopeful "This is a really hard spell. We need someone to be the vessel for this spell to keep it alive." she bites her lip "The vessel will be in a sleep like state until the spell is finished. This could take over a day..."

"So you're basically asking one of us to step right up and die," Viridi states "You won't die! You just won't be in this world.... for a few hours..." Palutena says hastily. "Who will sacrifice themselves for the greater good, then?" Athena asks.

Everyone turns to look over at me.

I sigh.

"....Fine..."

AN:

Sorry for not updating in a while! I didn't know how to get Pit and Y/N out without doing a cliche. I hope this chapter wasn't too bad! More action will come! Don't worry! Stay safe and thanks for reading!
