******Hours later******
Vanessa woke up, turning on her phone screen. It read 12:34am. She stood up realizing that she had fallen asleep on the floor in front of the door.
Now why am I here? She wondered. She opened the door and gasped then screamed at the sight.
James fell inside the room, half of his body inside the room, the other half out. His chest rising and going back down as he breathed.
Oh my god I thought he was dead!
She turned on the light and saw him asleep, his phone on his stomach, his hand resting on it.
He wasn't lying. He stayed here waiting for me to open the door. Aw he looks even cuter asleep. Ahem I'm still mad at him.
She felt extremely guilty for what she had done to him. She picked him up, carrying him onto her bed, pushing him all the way to one side.
He is lighter than I thought.
There. He better not roll over during the night.
She pulled the covers over him. Then she got next to him as close to the edge as possible.
"I...I love you Vanessa." A voice said.
Vanessa gasped turning around. James had rolled over but away from her.
He talks in his sleep? But I guess he really loves me if he's saying it in his sleep.
She rolled over, the hard decision of forgiving him in her head.

Vanessa woke up to an arm around her and lips on hers.
She squealed pushing James off of her.
"You're still mad?" He asked. She turned away.
"Get out of my bed."
James smirked at how dirty that sounded to him.
"But-"
"Seriously."
"But I love you." He buried his head in the back of her neck.
Vanessa gave up. She loved him too much to be mad at him for long. She turned around, cupping his face and crashing her lips onto his.
He smiled in the kiss, wrapping his arms around her.
"So I'm guessing I'm forgiven?" James asked pulling away for a second.
"Don't do that to me ever again."
"But I swear Emma actually kissed me against my will. I would've never done that otherwise."
Vanessa smiled. She truly believed him. First she knew Emma well and of what she was capable of. She had done this before so she should've known from the start.
"I will believe you. I know Emma. But don't ever do that to me again."
"Never. You get hurt, I get hurt right?"
"Yes. I could never stay mad at you for long." Vanessa admitted.
"And I could not live my life without you in it." They were having a heart to heart moment for a second.
"I love you."
"I love you."

Ethan yawned walking into the kitchen, grabbing a cereal box and a bowl. He poured the cereal inside the bowl and got out milk pouring it into the bowl as Emma walked in.
"Where's the pancake box?" She asked digging through the fridge. Ethan shrugged.
"I don't know, go buy it yourself." He shoved a spoonful of cereal into his mouth. Emma gave him a look.
"I need my pancakes now!"
"Do I care?" Ethan argued. Emma rolled her eyes annoyed as she grabbed her car keys. She pulled her hair into a messy ponytail before walking out.
When she was going to her car, Vanessa's friend Scarlett stopped her car in front.
"Hey, Emma have you seen Vanessa? She no longer lives with Caroline and I'm afraid to ask if she now lives with James or something."
Emma looked back at the house. She pointed inside as Scarlett pulled her car into the driveway.
"Thanks." She said walking past her. Emma rolled her eyes. Such a queen. Know it all. Want it all.
Scarlett stopped, her hand inches away from knocking on the door: she wasn't sure whether Vanessa even wanted her around or not.
She took a deep breath and knocked.
Ethan answered as Scarlett bit her lip. She had kind of expected Vanessa to answer.
"Um I'm one of Vanessa's friends Scarlett-"
"Vanessa has friends? Last time I checked she hated everyone." Ethan pointed out.
What was he trying to tell me? What was the point in that? Scarlett thought.
"Is she here or not?" She got to the point.
"Listen she's locked in her room and I don't think she wants to be with anyone." Ethan loved Vanessa more than Emma as a sister so he would do her a favor. Since she had once done one to him.
"Okay could you please tell her that I need to talk to her?"
Ethan nodded making himself a mental note.
If she comes I will protect my sister from this backstabber. She told me what happened when she first moved in with us. Brooklyn and Kennedy are taken care of but this chick is still here.
Scarlett smiled and turned towards her car as Ethan plastered a fake smile and closed the door.
"Stupid...." He rolled his eyes continuing to eat his breakfast.

Emma came back with her box of pancakes feeling satisfied.
"Ethan get out of the kitchen!" She yelled. Ethan shook his head.
"No! I'm hungry! That little cereal bowl was not enough."
"Damn you're such a fat ass." Emma yelled angrily.
"Look little sister this is my life. Eating and video games. Who needs anything else in life? Well my life also includes soccer." Ethan pointed out.
"We'll go play your video games in your room." Emma shoved the cereal box at him before stopping him.
"Wait one question, has Vanessa left her room?"
Ethan shook his head leaving.
"I wonder if....." She walked slowly to Vanessa's door. She pressed her ear to the door quietly and listened. All she could hear was shuffling. She let out a light gasp.
"James is in there? No...she couldn't? Or she did. Oh that little...." She shook her head going back into the kitchen.
"She couldn't have. She just couldn't. Not with my James. Not with him. He's mine. But he doesn't know that yet." She smiled to herself as she began cooking.

"James? Did you happen to color my blond highlight with permanent marker?" Vanessa demanded staring at herself in the mirror. Her sweatpants also had marker stains.
James blushed covering himself with the blankets.
"Ugh!" Vanessa grabbed a pillow and hit the lump in the blankets. "Come on James. Are you scared I'll beat you at pillow fighting?"
James popped up from the blankets.
"Hell no woman. Do you want more marker staining?" He pulled out a marker from his sweater's pocket.
"You win!"
"But-"
"Fine." Vanessa swung the pillow harshly hitting James.
"Doesn't hurt." He crossed his arms over his chest, sticking out his tongue.
Instead of hitting him again, Vanessa simply cupped his face, pressing her lips onto his.
James took the pillow in her hands, whacking her face away from him.
"Did you think I wouldn't hit you because of that?" He asked in an obvious voice.
"Oh that's what you want." Vanessa took another pillow as the fight began.

"Ha! And I win again!" James celebrated his victory. Vanessa bit her lip shaking her head.
"That's because I didn't hit you hard."
"Aw so those punches didn't have any effort in them?"
Vanessa shook her head.
"Fine let's go again. But this time try." James grabbed one of the teddy bears on a shelf, making little movements with its hands.
"No! Okay fine you're better than me."
"What did you say?" He dropped the bear, smiling.
"I'm not repeating it." Vanessa crossed her arms.
"So what's my reward for winning?" James crossed his arms again.
"I don't know. What do you want? You're the winner here."
James leaned over, pressing his lips to hers. But Vanessa had another plan.
Let's give him a taste of his own medicine.
Vanessa reached over for the bear, hitting James away from her with it.
"Did you think I wouldn't hit you because of that?" She mocked him by what he had done earlier.
"I see how it is. I try being nice and you're mocking me. I see." He ran his finger down his cheek to symbolize a tear.
"I'm kidding. Come here. I still love you."
"Okay." His face quickly lightened up as his phone vibrated in his pocket.
What is it now? He thought annoyed. Message from Coach Ancelotti.
"I have practice today?" He thought aloud.
"Practice?"
"Yeah. Tomorrow we have a game so we need to be ready." He shoved his phone back into his pocket.
"Oh so you're leaving me?"
"Speaking of that, my teammates want to meet you."
Vanessa nearly threw up at his comment. James' teammates wanting to meet her?
For what? So that they could judge her for how she looked.
Or compare her to the other girlfriends or wives of the other players?
"Seriously? What if they hate me?"
James glared at her, shaking his head.
"If I love you then they have to. Or am I wrong?"
When Vanessa didn't answer, he assumed she did not want to see her mistake.
"Told you I'm right. If they don't love you I'll punch them."
"Fine. You're not leaving like that are you?"
"I kinda brought my stuff already. It's in my car."
"Why would you....I just won't ask. Now out of my room."
"But-"
"You really can't see me change."
"That's true." Vanessa shoved James out of the room before smiling.
He's such a little idiot. But he's mine.
My cute little idiot.
