Madi's POV:

It's seven-thirty in the morning and I was dozing lightly when I heard the sound of my alarm clock. I reached for it to stop it from ringing, then I noticed it's not from the alarm clock but from my phone. I answered it with my half-closed eyes and didn't bother to look who's the disturbing caller on the screen.

But my eyes widened as I jolted from bed when I heard the familiar voice from the other line...It's Gabriel. And because I get up quickly, I didn't notice that I am already at the edge of the bed. The next thing I know, I just found myself on the floor. And I wish my scream could save me, but no.. I fell with a loud thud and with my butt first.

"Hey! What happened to you?" concern was laced in his voice as I heard the loud bang on the other side of the door.

"Fucking shit!" I cursed when I felt the sting on my butt and I groaned in pain.

"Opened this fucking door! What happened to you?"

He asked again but I just ignored him and tried to get up. "Gosh! How did you know where I stayed? And forgodsake, how did you get my number?" I asked while walking towards the main door.

"Are you okay? I heard you screamed?" but he also ignored my question.

"What are you doing here?"

"God, Madi! Just answer my question first! Are you okay?"

I rolled my eyes as I opened the door. "I'm okay! Now, answer my question... what are you doing---" he lunged at me and hugged me in a bone-crushing hug.

"You scared me! I thought there's something happened to you!" he said while kissing my hair repeatedly.

"Hey, Gabriel!" I pushed him slightly.

"Why did you scream?" he asked when he pulled back and he's really the one who closed the door.

"None of your business!" I answered leaving him and walked directly to the mini-kitchen.

I didn't hear his voice again, but I know he's following me because of the sounds of his shoes on the tiled floor. I boil water on the electric kettle and get my ready mixed coffee from the drawer. When I turned around, he's already comfortably sitting in my two-seater dining table. He doesn't uttering even a single word, he's just watching me and God.. it's a little creepy inside moving around while his eyes were focused on me.

"Why are you here?"

"You haven't had your breakfast yet"

We asked in unison, but I was the one who ask him again by the second time.

"Excuse me? You barged in, in my hotel room at this early in the morning while I'm still sleeping, and then now you're going to ask me if I hadn't had my breakfast? Gosh! Look at me, I'm still in my sleeping wear!"

I pointed my clothes and he just chuckled at me.

"You're like a mother hen, Madi. I'm just asking if you haven't had some breakfast but you already mentioned a lot of things."

I rolled my eyes on him. "What are you doing here?"

"I told you, I'm going with you in the City Hall."

I am about to speak when we both heard the doorbell.

"You already have a visitor at this early in the morning?" he asked me narrowing his eyes.

"Huh! Yeah, you're here inside my kitchen, earlier than whoever is outside right now."

I walked back to the living room with him trailing behind me. And guess what, he pulled me by my waist before I could reach the door and he was the one who opened it.
