Daiki dragged himself across the floor, struggling to his feet. He ignored the shards of glass that cut his skin. Such wounds would heal quickly. The priority was to help the convulsing Omega, suffering from the surplus power. He climbed into bed again when he felt the presence of the Betas, guided by the confusion that had come to them. He didn't even look toward the door, his inner animal roaring against the invasion.

"Don't meddle!" he yelled at Kise and Kuroko paralyzing them outside the room, forcing them to just watch, unable to go against the Alpha's commanding voice.

The moment was extremely delicate. Aomine knew that the interference of a Beta could end everything. Only an Alpha would be able to do something in a situation that gets out of control.

He had been reckless and arrogant, believing that it would be easy to guide an Omega, just as it was easy with Betas. He had completely ignored the mysterious essence of these creatures. It was his fault. He should never have done anything without a bond.

He sat down on the mattress and brought Taiga into his arms, trying to keep his body from struggling so much. His face was covered with a cadaverous pallor. He barely seemed to breathe. He realised that he couldn't do anything alone. He needed his inner animal to dominate and channel all that energy, preventing it from continuing to consume Kagami's body.

He put him back on the bed and held Kagami's face with both hands that was smeared with their own blood. His complexion was pale.

He needed to get into the zone. It wasn't his first time he had already discovered the Zone after all he was the most powerful Alpha . He knew the way. He closed his eyes.

Concentrating could be difficult in such a situation for anyone. But Daiki wasn't just anyone. He took a deep breath, focusing on himself, allowing everything else to fade, the sounds turned to silence, the colors started fading , the world went out of focus until all that was left was the silent space that preceded the Zone in his soul.

Then light opened into the chamber, an immense, infinite room. So big that it was impossible to see the walls or the unreachable ceiling, only the floor covered with white tiles. And its animal inside.

A great panther, with absurdly black fur, so black that It gleamed. Its eyes were blue, a shade very close to Daiki's. Its front paws were crossed in a nonchalant pose. Behind its back its tail snaked back and forth lazily.

“Yo.” Aomine scratched the back of his head as he approached the panther.

The panther followed his movements with predatory interest. "I need help." Aomine grumbled.

"You do, right? If you hadn't told me I'd never have guessed...", The panther mocked. His hoarse voice was full of irony. He clearly intended to irritate Aomine.

" OE! " the boy raised his foot and tried to kick the beast in the snout, but his animal just moved its head to the side, avoiding it. "This is no time to play. Our mate needs us!" Aomine growled angrily.

"Us? Are you sure about that, Daiki? Or maybe he deserves a better Alpha," The beast hinted without hesitation.

"…There is no better Alpha than me. Of course Aomine said as a matter of fact.

The tail stopped moving and the panther looked at him with narrowed, menacing eyes. "I warned you to do everything right. I warned you about the importance of the bond with the Omega. And what did you do? You ignored me like the fool that you are" the irony now completely replaced by merciless recrimination.

Aomine gritted his teeth. His hands clenched into fists, disbelieving what he had heard. "And you chose this moment to give me a fucking lesson? Our mate is dying and you lecture me?! Is that it, Animal?! The time is..."
