"Oe, Kuroko! You can't be that bad!” Taiga growled in disappointment, sitting down on a cement bench at the side of the court. He pulled his shirt off and wiped the dripping sweat from his face. The other boy wasn't irritated by the complaint. He sat down beside him, the basketball clutched in his hands. Both were sweating from the exertion on the hot day.
"I now understand why they called you a phantom limb.” Kagami lifted his face and closed his eyes, feeling the sun warm his skin. Pleasant sensation.
Both were rookies at Seirin High and ended up joining the same club
"The Basketball Team". The sport they loved. After hearing rumors about six incredibly strong members in Elementary School and finding out that the other rookie was one of them.Kagami decided to take the exam. But that little guy with no presence at all was no miracle at all. The kid was terrible! Unable to make a single shot.
"Make no mistake, Kagami kun. I didn't come here for you to analyse me. I wanted to analyse you" the kid said . The redhead laughed. He didn't say anything, because it wasn't up to him to judge a colleague. One way or another, the truth would come out at the right time." I'll never understand why the GOM split up. If the six of them were so badass together, it was right to go to the same school, right?" Asked kagami with his brows narrowed.
Kuroko leaned forward on the bench and started bouncing the ball against the floor of the court. That question involved a lot of information, things that he still couldn't reveal fully. He preferred to answer in a vague way.
"There comes a point in life when each one must follow new paths and seek what will make them stronger. It took a separation to go to the next level" kuroko said, he hadn't told a complete lie. Kagami's expression became confused. He stole the ball in a quick gesture, proceeding to bounce it on the ground himself.
"And you think you'll find that here in Seirin?" The redhead quirked his one eyebrow
"Why not? Maybe I've already found it..." Kuroko said with a faint smile.
"I don't know." Kagami shrugged his shoulders. "This school is new. It has no tradition in basketball, although the senpais are strong. If you want to move to the next level in basketball, it doesn't seem like the most appropriate choice". That was obvious to Taiga. To become better, he has to face bigger challenges. Maybe Kuroko had chosen Seirin precisely because he was the weakest of the six members. Well... so far the boy seemed pretty weak, thank you.
