Daiki opened his eyes and closed them again, overwhelmed by all the sensations that hit him at the same time.  He took a deep breath and concentrated, seeking strength from the Panther to calm himself down a little.  He was lying on the cold floor of what was clearly a cell, with no windows and a single access door.  His shoulder hurt a lot, still wrapped in the ripped strip of Kagami's shirt.  He felt a little dizzy and nauseous, without the strength to get up off the ground and soon understood why.  Branches of wolfsbane and mistletoe hung from the four corners of the flagstone ceiling.  Poisons for shifters, as harmful as silver.

That's why he was so weak and affected.

It had three of the greatest weaknesses of its kind in direct contact.  He moved slowly and ripped a piece of his shirt, with difficulty, as each gesture caused sharp pain in his shoulder, luckily the bullet wasn't there anymore the pain would be infinitely worse.  But the silver trail did its part in preventing the scarring.

A Few Minutes Later, his forehead permeated with sweat, he managed to complete the task.  He brought the cloth to his face and covered his nose.  A negligible protection, but it relieved a little of the bad sensations.

Now maybe he could concentrate enough to...

" DAIKI!!! " Taiga's voice sounded loud and straight in Aomine's mind, giving the impression that he was very close.  The threat of a headache surrounded him mercilessly.  At the same time, immeasurable relief eased the tension that plagued his muscles.  He didn't pick up any trace of pain in contact with his mate.

" Kagami...", he almost groaned, mentally.

" Finally, Daiki!  Are you okay? I've been trying to talk to you for hours!  Do you have any idea where you are?  Where are we? "

" One question at a time..." Aomine groaned but despite that, he smiled slightly.  Just the certainty that the Omega was okay gave him back some of his strength.

"S-Sorry.  I know you're not well. I can feel it.  When you didn't answer me I... I kind of panicked."

That phrase made Aomine roll his eyes. The guy had screamed in his head as soon as he regained consciousness.  It was a very clear display of panic.  But he couldn't blame him.  Their situation was not pleasant at all.

"Daiki...?"

" I'm here, Taiga.  Just..." trying to concentrate and maintain the connection was proving more complicated than he'd first thought. "Update me. What I missed?"

Obeying the request, Kagami told him everything that had happened since he woke up trapped in that room, with no windows or any other means of access other than the door.  He spoke of the Beta who watched over him and whom he could smell. He detailed Hanamiya's monologue and repeated all the explanations he'd heard and put together much of the puzzle, explained that his brother was there, although he didn't know under what conditions.  He also revealed about the Alpha and all of Kirisaki Daichi's plans until the outcome which involved trying to cover up the Mark of Aomine, making a nova on the next full moon night.

Daiki listened in silence.  The last part eliciting a primal reaction from Panther, something so fierce it made him overcome weakness and pain and sit up, leaning his back against the wall.  Under no circumstances would he allow another Alpha to attempt to mark his mate.  He would find a way to escape from there, forcing his way through and destroying anyone who tried to stop him.

The GOM Betas were gathered in Kagami's apartment that late Tuesday, waiting for Akashi to start the meeting.  They used shady means to get there and insinuate themselves through the reception.
