"Relax, baka! That won't work". Then Kagami moved his neck and rotated his shoulders, stretching them. His face softened more and more, until it became calm.

Talking was easy! But how could he go about diving into himself ? He was already feeling relaxed and Daiki's hands clasped in his were an added security. The boy had said he would be by his side all the way. He trusted the Alpha to keep his promise.
No...That felt inappropriate.
Kagami would begin a journey to find what shifters called the animal within. A very intimate and personal process where he would discover a meaning about himself never imagined. He had to do it alone.
Concentration.
He'd felt unexplainable things before. Especially when he was next to Daiki. Something in his body was sending sensations he wasn't sure were his own, even if they hit him directly.
It was there, somewhere in that dark immensity.
Dark and silent.
Taiga realized that each and every sound had disappeared. It was as if he wes floating in a weightless space, descending slowly, gently.
Yes... he was diving into the depths. And he continued until his feet touched something firm. So dark that he couldn't be sure of anything. He clasped his hands. He could touch them, his body was solid. But Aomine was gone. He looked from side to side, unable to make out anything in the darkness, not even an outline or silhouette.
Then intuition came inexorably. He wasn't alone there. He felt someone. Or something. Right next to him. His heart beat got hard and fast. Breathing became difficult. He knew for sure what it was. He guessed.
Satisfaction emanated from the creature trapped with him in the darkness and hit Taiga, relaxing him. There was no fear, no bad feeling , no apprehension, no hesitation. Whatever was there had no intention of hurting him. He then remembered Daiki's words. His animal was his Friend.
"Oe...", he started talking a little shyly, uncomfortable to launch those words while everything was dark, he clenched his hands into fists, they were shaking with anticipation. "I came here to meet you. I want to meet you."
The words came out firm and decisive. He waited for them to take effect and even thought he wouldn't get an answer. But his request was granted.
"You can't even imagine how much I've longed for this moment, Taiga", the unknown voice was deep and husky, a dark timbre, bordering on the somber.
Ancestral.
It sounded straight in Kagami's mind, filling him with calm. As if the boy found something he had lost a long time ago.
"Can I see you?" Kagami turned on his own axis and turned to where he felt the creature was "I have many questions!"
"Are you sure about that? The path that you are starting is a path on which there is no return." The words came tender and patient. Concerned for Kagami
"Yes. I'm sure." Kagami really wished more than anything that he could get to know his inner animal.
"Then so be it."
Light.
Light so strong and bright that Kagami had to shield his face with his arms, fearing he would go blind. He had to wait a full minute to get used to the sudden brightness. Slowly he lowered his arms and opened his eyes.
He gasped in amazement at what he saw.
A Tiger.
A large animal with brindle fur in orange, black and white, lying on what appeared to be the floor of that place of light. Everything was light, on all sides. As if the darkness from before had never even existed. And in the center of light, the magnificent creature. An intimidating figure.
