"Baba." A soft tiny voice had woken me up from my sleep. Almost a week since I ran away, and I just went home yesterday from the cabin.
"Baby? Who brought you home?" When she heard me speak, she immediately crawled up to bed and rested on top of me.
"Baby bunch, I am worried about you so I asked her to bring me home. Have you eaten?" She replied softly while caressing my right eye, making me close both of my eyes.
"Hey, why are you crying?" I asked while chuckling that made her lift her head then stared at me seriously. This kid.
"Ba!" That's how to annoy a kid.
"Yeah, I am just asking." I said then hugged her tight.
"Good morning, love." I greeted her and kissed her. She replied back but still annoyed kaya I got up from bed carrying her as we went to the bathroom.
"Baba, someone's outside." She mumbled when we were about to leave our room. I smiled, and just kissed her head.
"Let's go, I am hungry. What did you have for breakfast?" I asked while we were walking toward the kitchen.
"A lot, I have a new fish by the way." She replied.
"Really? That means you had a lot to feed. Should I double my work because you had a new pet?" She stopped walking when she heard that.
"Of course not, Mommy bought food for them already. She sponsored the food." Confident na sagot niya making me chuckle.
"Mommy? You really want to have a mommy ha. I don't have that much pa so baka magutom kayo." I said, making her grin and smirk. Uh oh?
"I have a lot." A short answer comes from the person at our back. She's here. Goodness.
"The only one missing is you." She added kaya I stiffened when I heard that.
"Can I have another sibling?" Another heart attack. This kid made this gorgeous laugh. So nice to hear her laughing again. The laughter that cost a lot, I am glad she's giving it for free to this kid.
"Hey." A light tap on my right cheek awakened me from my thoughts, I somehow flinched when I saw her standing before me. Gia is outside already.
"Y-yeah? Ehem, I mean, hi." I said making her smile while looking straight at me which made me look down, she laughed at that act. I bet I am stupid standing here right now.
"I prepared you breakfast, Amarah and I already ate." She guided me to sit and put food on my plate. She cooked all my favorites.
"Coffee?" I tilt my head at that and replied.
"Milk please." When she heard me it made her stop and look at me, the way she was looking at me is making me nervous.
"Aah, it's Gia's idea." I immediately added. She didn't reply but she stood up and made me a glass of milk.
"Thank you for the breakfast." I softly uttered after I finished all she prepared. I am so full. I was about to stand to clean the table when she first did. I don't know what to do. I stand and lean on the door frame while watching her wash the dishes.
She changed a lot, from head to toe. Her skin became whiter, and did she even age? She still has her cold and stern demeanor. Is she still not married yet? I saw a ring on her finger, but what's with it naman. I am happy for her.
I missed her this close to me. If I did just choose to think clearly before, malayo na sana kami ngayon. Waking up beside her, seeing her ears become red because she's annoyed. Simply having her around is giving me everything already.
