Nag-inat ako bago bumangon. I look for my glasses and see what time it is. Aba, tanghali na ako nagising. Tumayo na ako mula sa kama at pumasok sa banyo para maligo.
I am humming while walking papuntang kusina. Mag-isa lang ako rito sa bahay dahil kina Sam natulog ang dalawa at ako lang ang umuwi kagabi.
Two weeks na pala sila Lia rito. Hindi ko alam kung kailan sila babalik sa Manila. Aiah and I are civil naman towards each other. I could see that her eyes were smiling together with her lips.
I'm confused as I don't know how much. Seeing her again is an achievement of mine. For 8 long years, I never heard of her. Having her around makes me feel happy. The moment I saw her at Sam's place I lost my guard. I didn't know they knew each other.
I am okay, I should be. I'm over it already. I kept telling myself that. I made myself strong for 5 years and now Gia's helping me become stronger.
Nagising ako sa pag-iisip nang may kumatok sa pinto.
"Did you eat already?" Agad na tanong matapos ko mabuksan ang pintuan. Umiling ako making her sighed.
"I woke up late, but I was about to cook though." I added, she scoffed and went directly to the kitchen.
"What brought you here? Did Gia do something?" I asked while she was preparing the ingredients.
"She's behaving, she said you don't eat well when she's not around." She replied.
"I do eat." Mabilis na saad ko naman. She looked at me and rolled her eyes. Natawa naman ako, maldita talaga.
"Eat huh? Like it is a miracle if you do it 2 times a day." Hmm, Gia told her a lot.
"Tried not having a decent meal every single day for 5 years anyways, not a big deal." I jokingly said.
"Ehem, what are we having?" Mabilis kong dagdag when I saw her stop moving. I should've not said that. Mental slapped.
"Sinigang." She replied shortly.
"W-what?" Nauutal kong tanong because she's just looking at me while I eat.
Umiling naman ito at sinabing kumain pa ako pero nakatingin pa rin siya sa akin. Nakakailang!
"I might melt." Mahinang dagdag ko habang nakayuko. I could feel her stares but didn't say anything and just leaned her back on the chair while still looking at me.
"When will you guys leave?" I asked when I finished washing the dishes.
"On Thursday." She replied, today's Monday so they have only 2 days left.
"Hindi pa kayo naigala ni Sam sa beach?" I asked again, making her tilt her head.
"Wanna go later? Will be home tomorrow." I suggest she smiled and nod.
"I'll just get my things first." I said before leaving her in the living room and went to my room and packed Gia and my clothes.
Mabilis lang naman akong natapos dahil naka separate ang mga damit namin for any occasions. I change my clothes, naka black loose long sleeve ako at tinupi ng dalawang beses ang manggas. I wore a dark cargo pants and a sandals bago nag palit ng shades.
"Let's go." Aya ko nang makalabas ako sa kwarto. She raised her head and stared at me.
"Hot." Maikling saad niya at inayos ang kuwelyo ng suot ko and then tap both of my shoulders.
"Have you informed the others?" I asked while suppressing my smile. Kilig ako eh.
"Yes, they're preparing." She answered kaya tumango ako. Lumabas na kami at pinagbuksan ko siya ng pinto ng sasakyan.
