I wake up in the morning. I open my eyes slowly. "Good morning" Derek whispers, kissing me softly. "Morning" I groan. He chuckles softly.
"Good sleep?" He asks. I nod. "Tell your face that" he jokes. I glare at him. He grins.
I turn around. I chuckle softly as I see lucas with his arms wrapped around cristinas neck as they sleep.
I nudge derek. He looks. He chuckles. "She won't be happy if she wakes up right now" he whispers. "No, she would not" I chuckle. I carefully move lucas away from her.
I put him between me and derek instead. He furrows his brows, starting to cry. I scoop him into my arms. He calms down instantly as he wraps his arms around my neck. I smile.
"Such a cuddly baby" Derek kisses his head. I smile. "Hes adorable" I say. "He takes after his daddy" he grins. I roll my eyes. "Yeah, he does" I chuckle.
He pulls away slowly. I smile, looking at him. "Good morning monkey" I kiss his nose. He frowns. "morning mama" he mumbles, wiping his eyes. I chuckle softly.
"You wanna go wake up mia with me?" Derek asks. He nods. Derek picks him up and takes him to the twins room.
"Cris" I say. She groans. "We have school" I say. "Noo" she pushes her face into the pillow.
"Do you not wanna put on a hot dress and make Burke regret his decisions?" I raise my brow. She sighs. "Fine" she gets up.
"Theres towels in the bathroom so you can shower and you can wear whatever you want in my closet" I get up. "Thanks" she walks into the bathroom. I go to the living room.
"Morning baby" I walk to the kitchen. I kiss mias nose. "Good morning mommy" she smiles, eating her breakfast.
I wrap my arms around Derek's neck, looking into his eyes. He smiles, putting his hands on my waist.
He kisses me softly. "Mommy?" Lucas says. "Yeah?" I turn to face him. Derek wraps his arms around my waist from behind.
"Are we going to pwe-school today?" He asks. Mia looks at me too. "Yeah.. is that okay?" I ask. Mia nods. "I don't wanna go" lucas says. "Why not?" I ask.
"I wanna be with you" he says. "You only have to go for a couple of hours.. we'll be there to pick you up" I say. He looks down.
Derek's pov:
"You'll be okay baby, I promise" she puts her hands on his cheeks, kissing his nose. "I'll be thewe with you!" Mia smiles. He smiles. "Yeah.. you'll be with eachother" I say.
"Is that okay?" Meredith asks. "Yeah" lucas nods. "Good boy" she kisses his nose a few times. My smile fades.
Flashback:
"Good boy" Vanessa wipes my lips with her thumb.

"Good boy derek" she kisses my head.

"Good boy sweetheart" she grins, pulling me up from my knees so I'm stood infront of her.
Present:
"Der?" Meredith says. "Babyyy" she giggles, shaking me gently. I snap out of it. I look at her. "Yeah?" I chuckle softly. "You okay?" She asks. I nod.
"You sure?" She puts her hands on my cheeks. "Yeah" I put on a smile. She kisses me softly. "Okay, if you say so" she says.
Meredith's pov:
He kisses me again. I smile. "Why don't we just take the kids to school with us today?" He asks. "They said they're fine going to pre-school" I say.
"Are you sure?" He asks. "Very.. are you sure you're okay?" I furrow my brows. He smiles, nodding.
I kiss his cheek before turning to the twins. "You ready? What do you wanna wear today monkey?" I pick up lucas. "I don't know" he shrugs. I chuckle. "I'll pick.. okay?" I ask. He nods. I take him to their room.
"What about you princess?" Derek follows with mia in his arms. "A dwess" she says. "Okay" he says. We get them both ready and get ready ourselves.
"Wow, you look hot" I say as cristina walks into the living room. "I know" she says. I chuckle softly. "Tell cristina she looks hot" I whisper to mia.
"You look pwetty" Mia says. I grin. "Thanks mia" she chuckles, grabbing her bag. "You driving with us?" I ask. She nods. "I took a cab here yesterday" she says. "Okay" I say.
"You two ready?" I hold lucas' hand. They nod. Derek holds mias hand. We walk to Derek's car. We get in and derek drives us to the pre-school.
"We'll just be a sec" I say to cristina. "Kay" she says. We get the kids and walk into the school. The teacher walks over to us to take them.
We bend down to talk to them. "We will be back in a couple of hours, okay?" I say. They both nod.
"I love you.. and I love you" I kiss both of their noses. They both giggle. "I wove you too" they both say. I smile. "We'll be back soon" I stand up.
Derek talks to them and hugs them. I talk to the teacher as he says bye. I look down at derek. "Der we need to go" I chuckle. "1 minute" he says. "Its been 10" I say.
He keeps talking to the twins. I groan. "Its okay, a lot of parents do this" the teacher chuckles. I giggle.
"You ready?" I run my fingers through his hair. He shakes his head. "Come on" I pull him up by his arm. He frowns.
"Say bye to daddy" I say. "Bye daddy" the twins say. I pull him away. I wave at the kids as they walk into the school.
We get into the car and derek drives us to school. We go straight to class as cristina goes to the break room.
I look at derek as we sit in class. He's biting his pencil and I can hear his shoes tapping against the floor under the table.
I put my hand on his thigh, stilling his leg. He looks at me. "What's wrong?" I whisper. "Nothing" he says. I sigh, going back to my work.
Midway through the lesson derek just gets up and walks out. I furrow my brows. "Miss grey?" The professor asks. "I'll- I'm going to check on him" I say quietly, walking out after him.
"Der!" I catch up to him in the hallway. He ignores me, walking outside. I grab his hand before he can reach the car.
"Why did you make me leave them there?!" He looks back at me. "Derek.. they're fine.. what's your problem?" I say.
"I'm going to get them" he keeps walking. I stop. I furrow my brows. He gets into his car. I run to the car, getting in the passenger seat.
"What are you doing?" He asks. "If you're going I'm going" I say. He starts driving.
We arrive at the pre-school and derek gets out of the car quickly, going inside. I follow him.
"Daddy!" Mia runs over to him as she sees him. "Hi baby" he picks her up, hugging her tight. She wraps her arms around his neck.
"Mama" lucas runs over to me. "Hi monkey" I pick him up, kissing his cheek. "You're here early Meredith" the teacher walks over.
"Derek had trouble leaving them here by themselves" I say quietly. "Oh" she says. "I'm sorry" I say. "Its okay, don't apologise" she smiles. I smile.
"They had fun though, didn't you?" She asks lucas. He nods, his face still in my shoulder but he's smiling.
"And he's leaving.. great" I say sarcastically as I see derek walk out with mia. The teacher chuckles softly. "I'll see you tomorrow?" She asks. I smile, nodding. "Thankyou" I say. I follow derek.
We put the kids in the back of the car after derek talks to lucas a little bit. We get in the car. We drive home in silence.
